  1. Well the obvious solution is for Tom to jerk Alex off! Robbie and Nathan are together and Daniel is too uptight to do that for someone who’s basically a stranger. Nicola might be another possibility, but she already has a boyfriend too. ;–) In some other stories, Alex would force Luke to do it…

    Chapter 22

Most religious fanatics need to be reminded of the splinter in your brother’s eye/beam in your own eye verse. And the ones about not judging. It’s much easier to see what’s wrong with everyone else than it is to examine your own flaws. The ones who try to convert everybody don’t seem to realize that their obvious hypocrisy offends many of us! I am an Agnostic because of that. I oppose organized religion because it only seems to bring out the worst in people. Those who quietly do good are the exception.

    Chapter 22

I think it’s ironic that Adam is acting far more ‘christian’ that his religious fanatic of a genetic donor.
  4. I miss Oli!
  5. Love it! Thanks for posting
  6. Ky and Ry would have been way too cutesy. ;–)
  7. I’m very slowly catching up after my Frameline42 break. ;–)
  8. Well that sounds like the staff in the Castro in any number of places – if you’re young and cute! When you’re older, a person of color, or a woman (or worse, a combination of those), most of them are polite, but some businesses have been sued for their bad behavior. The Castro is not always welcoming if you’re not young, white, and good-looking. That’s why I usually only go there for Frameline. ;–) The Gay community needs to work on racism, sexism, and agism. If we’re lucky, we’ll all need to deal with at least one of those issues. Things do seem to be better than they’ve been in the past.

If the fire ants are inside the boot, won’t they be biting your foot? ;–)

    Chapter 9

Lotus has never made any of those either. Everybody seems to be making one now – or has plans introduce one soon! Brands range from the aforementioned Porsche and Maserati to Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, Audi, BMW, Alfa Romeo, and Lamborghini. All the major US, Japanese, and Korean brands have them too. Models like the Evoque, BMW X2, X4, and X6, and other ‘coupe-style’ SUVs don’t make a lot of sense to me. They’re like SUVs/CUVs devolving back into station wagons (aka estates). But in a very impractical form. Of course, building station wagons on a truck chassis and calling them luxury vehicles never made sense either! ;–)

    Chapter 9

Surely the fabulous Giorgetto Giugiarro couldn’t have been inspired by this cutie, could he? ;–) (Someone else probably modified one of Giugiarro’s designs to create the ungainly Elite.)

    Chapter 9

So, what kind of car will Joel get? Unlike Porsche (Panamera, 2 generations) and Maserati (Quattroporte, 6 generations), Lotus has never made a 4-door sedan. They’ve made some 4-seaters though… Lotus Elan +2 (with two child-sized seats in the back) Lotus Elite (showing a large rear headrest in the middle of the rear window – even I don’t like this one!)

    Chapter 9

But… but… but… Leon hasn’t had kids yet! He hasn’t even gotten married yet! He hasn’t graduated from college yet! He hasn’t finished Preschool yet! You can’t stop now!!!!! ;–)
  14. VUN seems to have some uncomfortable parallels with a certain manager who is burning his employees out by making them work 12-16 hour days with little or no time off…

    Chapter 1

It’s formatting correctly for me, but there’s a notification they’ve been playing with the archives. Maybe they changed something that affected @ColumbusGuy’s setup? I know I have minor issues because I block all trackers and third-party content (because trackers are too intrusive and invasive). I can’t choose to ‘Love’ things on Status Update pages because it pops up to the right where they pop up to the left on other pages, apparently because of something I’m blocking in my browser. ;–)
  16. And so the VUN marshals its resources. They’re still vulnerable because they rely on a few key people who cannot be replaced without a lot of disruption and loss of knowledge. And their non-vampire support personnel are aging. On the one hand, the VUN is not the traditional family-based organization where descendants of the founders are groomed to take over as the leadership ages. On the other hand there are already many family members involved in VUN. I wonder who will be take over when Devon, Colin, George, and the others burnout and eventually leave… Stan needs a protégé! He’s great, but shouldn’t he be running a whole department rather than doing all the work by himself? Buddy needs more buddies! ;–)

    The story

But if Josh is worked into an existing story, it’s a two-for-one deal for us! ;–)

    Chapter 1

I was thinking Let’s Go Fly a Kite, but then realized I Love to Laugh would be more appropriate! Now I realize something from Peter Pan would have made even more sense. But who knows why our brains make those leaps? ;–)

    The story

You have a story Josh would fit into better? I can’t see him fitting into Geoff & Tony’s world at all unless he’s secretly a musician of some sort. Will Liam Kendrick encounter him on the bus someday? ;–)

    Chapter 1

Everywhere we go, humans spread evil. Fortunately elves know how to get rid of this manifestation and the boys were able to cure themselves too. Why did my brain start thinking about Mary Poppins songs at the Elf Dance? ;–)

    Trying Times

I like to fool myself into thinking that ‘helpful’ is the default mode for most people, but numerous people including my younger brother and several therapists have pointed out how unusual that is! It must be the decades of working retail that exaggerated my natural impulses. I try to be helpful with information and assistance (but draw the line at monetary assistance in most cases). Being considerate doesn’t take anything away from me and it helps make the world a better place, if only in a very small way. ;–)

    Chapter 6

On rereading the Comments due to @travlbug’s Likes, I think it’s ironic that the insult ‘dancing around’ has been thrown around so much. I’m no dancer, but anyone who has seen movies and documentaries about professional dancers should know how hard they work. For someone to move their body around like ballet or modern dancers takes an incredible amount of strength. Many forms of dance resemble gymnastics in both movement and the need for muscularity. Clearly, there are a bunch of football players who haven’t tried taking ballet lessons… ;–)

    The story

Too bad there’s not a way to get Josh to become Eric’s home care provider. They could learn about the LGBTQ community together. Andy would have two people to teach about modern life with all its electronic devices that neither one has used! ;–)

    The story

It’s too bad Josh won’t dare take the cup home with him as a memento. Even if his father doesn’t recognize the significance of the rainbow, the cup alone would be enough to trigger his anger. But it will loom large in his memories anyway! Isolated teens who are not quite as restricted as Josh can view free LGBTQ movies on the Frameline Voices channel on YouTube (viewed by people in every single country around the world, including North Korea). The current Film of the Month was shown at Frameline40 two years ago: Bittersweet, a video that was heavily commented on (positively) here on GA in the past. Another Frameline program is Youth in Motion, which distributes free LGBTQ films and curriculum to GSAs in all 50 US states. The problem is that kids like Josh are not aware of the resources available to them.
  25. Is there an inscription in Tengwar on the ring? ;–)
