  1. Hire Devon? I just want him to take me shopping. (He can pay, I’m very poor and he can afford it!) ;-)

    Chapter 23

This is what I see and I’m not asking anyone to agree with me or even understand why I feel the way I do. I am not debating with anyone on what I feel. I know you think I’m wrong, but I don’t care. This chapter shows why abused partners return to their abusers repeatedly. They minimize the trauma inflicted on them and focus only on the aspects of their abuser that they love. It shows why the cycle is so difficult to break.
  3. Timmy, I think you should change your avatar to Denny’s face reacting to Sister Sweden popping out of the cake! That’s how I imagine you looking when you see the pictures of ‘Jazz’ that I’ve sent you in the past! Or in reaction to both of the shower scenes in that other SATW comic! ;-)
  4. Happy Birthday! We don’t seem to be reading many of the same stories recently. I miss ‘seeing’ you! ;-)

    Chapter 2 of 2

I was infatuated with one of my high school friends even while I didn’t understand what I was feeling. He had a very odd sense of humor that I really appreciated. But we weren’t very close and we never spent any time together outside of school. We never exchanged contact information and I lost track of him after we graduated. I’ve tried to search for him online but have been unsuccessful. (I have never been to any of my high school reunions and he’s not listed on Classmates. I now live about 500 miles away from where I grew up and haven’t visited the area in about 30 years.)

    Chapter 16

Something weird in the formatting. Only one section was visible in Safari’s Reader View and it was a solid block not separated into paragraphs. Oddly enough, Firefox was able to show the story correctly in its Reader View. And when Grandma takes the boys for ice cream, somehow Reggie’s mom is the one who calls Perry cute! I guess I’m glad that we are not being subjected to descriptions of underaged sex. But it would have been nice to hear of their adventures exploring London. What would teenagers want to see there? Would they discover the blue plaques designating buildings associated with famous people? We’ll never know… ;-)
  7. I know you can’t leave Wayne single forever. Who do you have in mind for him? And will he discover that he can bottom as well as top? ;-)

    Lost and Found

Such interesting characters. I love how the Senior Librarian has figured out so much about Rowan who seems to have great difficulty expressing himself. I want to know how he became so damaged.
  9. Great poem Gary, I loved it. It has a certain harshness and brutal honesty that fits in perfectly Some of the sentences spoken were like literally what ppl say, word by word. You simply nailed it, great job! I honestly don't get what the controversy was all about. I understand why u chose to censor the N word even though I don't think you should have to do it. I get that its because you don't wanna offend ppl. It does stick out a bit, but I don't think it takes away much from the poem itself. We all know what it means and we can just fill it the gap in our head. Also I didn't know gimp was a slur... I know what like a gimp mask is, but that's about it... Oh and sorry if I suck at critiquing poetry...
  10. While at the Frameline41 Q&A for The Fabulous Alan Carr, the director made the claim that for straight boys, their movie touchstone for the ‘70s was Star Wars, but for Gay boys, it was Grease! I told my best friend that I guess I needed to turn in my Gay Card, but he reminded me I was a Nerd, not a Theater Geek, and that’s why I liked Star Wars. Not all Gay people are Theater Geeks – if fact there are probably more of us who aren’t! There are many colors in our Rainbow Flag! And we're all just as fierce, fantastic, and fabulous in our own ways! [waving giant Rainbow, Bi Pride, Trans Pride, and Leather Pride flags in support of all of our communities]

    Chapter 29

This sounded like a final chapter (with an epilogue to let us know the fates of the characters to follow).

    Chapter 27

But if Benny is ring bearer and Haley is flower girl, what will Lee do? I saw a video of an apparently cis-gender, straight-appearing adult male flower girl person sprinkling flower petals as he marched down the aisle – he really owned the role, but unfortunately there was no background information to provide context as to why he did it. I think a sparkly Lee would gain confidence if he were a part of the wedding party! ;-)

    The Wallaces

I just realized ‘Thornwood’ sounds an awful lot like ‘Torchwood’! It’s not an anagram for something like Torchwood/Doctor Who is it? Add-a-Vampire Disease is more realistic than Add-a-Kid Disease. Adopting vampires doesn’t require quite as many resources for anywhere near the length of time that a child does. But I suppose it’s better for people to live out their fantasies in stories than for them to find out after the fact that they aren’t temperamentally suited towards raising a child (and it’s too bad that heterosexuals aren’t required to be investigated and licensed before they have children).
  17. Aw. Matt already found someone. But how does your brain even process seeing someone that died 50 years ago showing up looking the same as he did when he disappeared? No wonder Katie fainted!
  18. Wayne and Matt both seem to be lonely young men. Maybe they can forge a bromance… or more. ;-)
  19. I was thinking Devon should have called Wayne ‘Tommy’ rather than ‘Jerry.’ Jerry was slang for Germans in the WWII era, Tommy is a nickname for British soldiers. Maybe ‘Tommy’ could be the next wild male vampire…
  20. Devon & Colin’s family just keeps growing. They already have Betty & Willie as mom & dad, and now they have another child to go with Gabriella: Jerry! Eventually, Jerry will become less dependent on Devon emotionally, but just as with Matthew, he’ll start to form connections with others. (What ever happened to Matt anyway?)
  21. Somewhere, someone in MI (or other intelligence agencies) has files on mysterious happenings. It’s impossible that no one has ever reported the maulings and other brutal attacks. Even if it’s officially denied and unindexed, files are sitting somewhere…
  22. I think VUK, VGB, or VE (Vampires England) make more sense. VUN could be the umbrella group with VUS being eventually created to deal with US-specific things. VUN hasn’t been too visible, but it hasn’t been invisible either. Running around like Torchwood does attract attention! (Cap’n Jack is incredibly sexy, as is the actor who portrayed him, but Ianto Jones [Gareth David-Lloyd] is even sexier to me even though he’s not a redhead or blond – he is tall and thin.)
  23. Most fears of rejection rest on the desire for approval from other people. Don't base your self-esteem on their opinions ~.Harvey Mackay
  24. I was quoting someone who had used the term elsewhere on GA, but I censored the spelling just to make sure I didn’t run afoul of the site rules.
  25. So Daniel finally finds out – although he doesn’t seem shocked by the fact. I wonder how many of the other students in the crowd on the video were identified and interviewed by Constable Governs and the Cobourg Police Service. Clearly the images were not released to the media, but teachers, staff, and administrators at the school should easily be able to figure out who many of the students are. Showing the non-graphic images to those students might help identify others. The guilty party would already know that authorities would be searching, so that aspect of the investigation wouldn’t need to be kept secret.
