OH YES! Sometime I'll post scenes from Calisto. So many sex scenes - including Jupiter seducing Calisto disguised as Diana. Also, one of the nymphs was written for a male tenor to perform; he's hot for Mercury.

Finally!!! A staging of Cavalli that explores some of the awesome sensuality in every bar of his incredible stage music. This vid is tantamount to soft porn

Jayson isn’t the only one in his family who needs counseling. The entire family needs to talk to someone about what happened, how things got where they did, and how to deal with it all. Jayson & Cory’s dad bottles everything up and that’s not healthy. Once the whole family finds out Jayson is Gay, they will react. Mavis obviously won’t have a problem, Cory and his mom will take a little time to get used to the idea, but the dad will probably have major issues partly because dads quite often project so much of their own identity and image on their sons.

I don’t think it’s necessarily that a ‘Project’ might be abandoned when things get tough or affects Teddy’s popularity (to use deville’s words, but referring to all the other similar comments), it might be that Teddy has tried to help someone whose problems are too big for Teddy’s abilities. I tried helping a friend I had met when I was homeless. Brad had managed to kick a heroine and a methadone addiction before I met him. I encouraged him when he was trying to quit drinking (he drank so much alcohol that he had burned the lining of his esophagus away) and cigarettes. It worked for a while, but he got housed and we lost contact. Then I got an unexpected tearful, very apologetic phone call. He sounded really bad. I was convinced I’d never hear from him again. Unlike me, he was a religious person, so I was trying to get him to go to church (on Easter), but he was very resistant. I decided to call him back a few days later – he sounded better, but not like I was used to hearing him. I was hoping things would get better for him and I should have called him again, but I didn’t. I found out a week later that he had died. His doctors had been telling him to stop drinking because the next time he had a drink, his throat was so damaged, he’d start bleeding and the paramedics would never get there in time. I’m not convinced that he even tried calling 911. I think he may have just decided that things were just too difficult to deal with. I have my regrets over not doing more, but overall, I’m glad that I met Brad and I think I learned a lot in the short time I knew him. One of my therapists was extremely worried about my safety when I was spending most of my time with a cute but straight young guy in his 30s who was bipolar, paranoid schizophrenic, and psychotic. He had physically attacked his father which caused him to be kicked out and become homeless. When we’d be walking around, he’d say things like, ‘Buy me a Happy Meal, Daddy?’ or ‘Buy me a toy, Daddy?’ in a child-like voice. I would always tell him very forcefully that I was not his father. I’m still not sure if he was kidding me, or if he was having psychotic episodes because the phrases were the only anomalous things that I noticed. My therapist thought he might think I was his father and attack me. He called his mother and she took him home. (One day we were talking in the dorm and he had his shirt off. I called him a tease. He was tickled to be called a tease. I might have been significantly older than was, but I am no Daddy.) I know that I have to set very specific limits on what I do for and how much I’m willing to give to my Projects. My limits are different with each person I help as are the things I do for them. I cannot imagine not doing good deeds although quite often they have to be extremely low cost or free… 😉

Well, with the new software, you can post multiple comments on the same chapter! (I do!) ;-)

That idea of peace and love toward humanity shouldn't be nationalistic or denominational. It should be a chief concern for all mankind. ~ Mos Def

Your writing is as always great, LitLover. I wish I could say the same about Liam’s date.

I'm glad I hid my guess in a spoiler in my last comment. It let Wes and Jay be surprised! At 16, Reggie is embarrassed that he doesn’t know if he should try holding hands, but a lot of us went through that sort of first time jitters in our 20s, 30s, or even older! Some LGBTQ kids are getting to experience those things at around the same time as their heterosexual and cisgender classmates. And that’s a really good thing for their emotional development! ;-)

Chapter 21 A Day of Surprises
Former Member commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 21 A Day of Surprises
I recommend reading everything except the epilogue. I was happy and satisfied until I read the epilogue. It felt like the story arc ended appropriately but the epilogue then took a weird hop in a completely different direction that did not feel organic. -
Ms. Lazarus (the poet you cite) would be proud of you for doing this

Something is off with the formatting. In Safari’s Reader View, I get one big block of text that’s only slightly longer than a single page (normal view is about five pages worth), but previous chapters have all functioned correctly. Firefox’s Reader View didn’t have a problem with this chapter. I’m kind of surprised that Mrs Armstrong didn’t mention being Gay as ‘Robert’s’ potential problem since girlfriend, drugs, and physical abuse have all been ruled out. It was implied that emotional and sexual abuse were ruled out too, but physical size does not automatically prevent someone else from abuse of any kind. Just because someone is big and strong physically doesn’t mean they can’t be pressured or coerced in other ways. Some other stories on GA have mentioned one person sacrificing themselves to protect a child, sibling, or other person who is less able to protect themselves. Besides, if an abuser has friends, it might not be a case of one-on-one.

Tolstoy is so good! Thanks for sharing this.

“Love is life. All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love. Everything is, everything exists, only because I love. Everything is united by it alone. Love is God, and to die means that I, a particle of love, shall return to the general and eternal source.” Leo Tolstoy

I like the insight you get, through the persons point of view. A lot of layers interwoven making it so vivid. Great.

I am not very used to the measuring in feet, but I asked google. I never concentrated much on jumping, but by accident the highest was 1,30m -1,40m I think. I was finished with a small pracours, but my horse was not. When I let the rains loose, she went straight to the high fence and jumped over it. I had just enough time to get all concentrated again and take the rains up for some tension. She loved jumping and had a high force in her back hand for it, but it was never my thing.

While Declan should have reported the beating earlier, he wasn’t ready emotionally to do so until now. That it has finally happened suggests that the story will unfortunately be reaching its conclusion relatively soon…

I think working at the Crisis Line is giving Reggie a perspective he wouldn’t have gotten any other way. It’s clear that his experiences have helped him mature since he started writing the Journal. Even if nothing beyond friendship develops with Perry, he has been able to do some tutoring with him – teaching someone how to do something forces you to understand that topic better because you have to look at it from a different perspective.

Follow the story and you’ll get notifications (even if a known software bug that they’re working on fixing notifies you accidentally when the chapter has been preloaded, but not yet available).

You would have needed chains, to keep me from the horses, when I was younger than six. lol But I agree six is the youngest, that lessons make sense.

Door#5 - A Christmas Memory

Hi Val, this is a wonderful memory! Thanks for sharing it with us. May the horse be with you. -
I was six, when my mum gave me the first riding lessons. Before this, I just sat on the horse.

Thanks for all the thanks and welcomes to the wearing of the dark red. I appreciate it (LOL - I was just thinking I did post some poems this week, but could not see them on the list. *Does face-palm* Duh. Looking at wrong list )
