  1. If only Brody's or Adam's mom were a school psychologist and took an extra look at Zack and saw the turmoil, the pressure going on in his head. If only they could reach out and give him the help he so sorely needs; get Zack and his mom out of that apartment while Zack's father is confronted. Hey looks like Zack's dad doesn't work so he should be removed. Then Zack and Brody can go on being boyfriends and after college marry and with a surrogate have a child of their own. Zack demanding it be from Brody's seed with his beautiful loving sensitive way. I need an ending. It is such a marvelous story; it develops the reader so thoroughly in the pure emotion of Zack, Brody and their friends. But it needs it's ending and please a happy ending. Before everyone is crying at Zack's funeral and Brody reads Zack's notebook to all assembled and Zack's father is found out to be the miserable excuse for a human being that he is. Sadly, that would be the case in real life but this is fiction, make it end happy Comicality. Please!!

  3. So will Carina be sharing Jett’s bed with April? ;–) Apparently Jack will be sharing a bed with the old goat so it will be much too crowded for Carina. ;–)
  4. I grew up in Seventies San Diego, then still acting like a small Navy town. There were lots of sailors and Marines who retired there. There were boys who were forbidden from wearing jeans and were required to wear button shirts every day. There were boys who had standard boy haircuts (think Sheldon Cooper, kids) even while others had hair down past their shoulders. I had one classmate in jr high who shocked everyone when he came to school with his beautiful, shoulder-length, blond hair sheered off – he and his ex-military dad had an agreement that he had to get an annual haircut! ;–)
  5. I got it! The girl ditched Daniel and he needs some consolation from Robbie! No? ;–)
  6. Will Charlie & Co have a Spring Break/Easter/Passover adventure? ;–)
  7. Breaking news! TSA bans plastic forks on planes due to tip from @Laura S. Fox!
  8. Nobody else thinks it might be Fran? She’d certainly be a familiar voice! Could it be Fran’s older brother – the one that Robbie used to drool over? ;–)
  9. So, within a single year, Robbie has slept with two girls and had sex with four boys while his brother-cousin, Daniel, is still a virgin?
  10. Conner is beautiful on the outside, but has skated by on just his looks all his life. He’s never had to develop any other skills the way plainer people like the rest of us have. As much as Robbie protests, he has a type: guys who need to have all the attention focused on them. Conner’s egotistic characteristics differ from Nathan’s, but they both need the limelight. Future Conner should apply for a job at A&F, they’ll love his surface attractiveness and not care about his lack of substance (others should avoid patronizing the company due to their casual racism and patronizingly tone-deaf non-apologies). So Robbie is planning to see Nathan for the two years until he can return to his true love: Tom!
  11. Am I misreading things, or has it really only been one year that Robbie has been in Canada? ;–)
  12. Fran? Stephanie? Tom‽ ;–)
  13. Why am I not surprised that Alex is still in Cobourg? And dealing drugs! Has he been dragging Luke around with him wherever he’s hiding out? The only surprise is that he hasn’t gotten caught in all this time. ;–)
  14. It is great story - the plot is outstanding and the characters are really good. Being a steak and potatoes man my only grip is that sometimes the descriptive is a little excessive and flowery seemly never ending at times. I found myself skipping over it as I became used to the author's style. That said other passages had me riveted to the action - the love scenes were spectacular and the sensitivity of the author jumped off of the page. It seems as if young Zack is in the throes of and emotional breakdown to compound the physical abuse of his father. I was literally 100% depressed to find at the end of chapter 32 (read in 2 days time) that Zack still didn't have the courage to get the help he needed. PLEASE HURRY AND FINISH IT.

Why no ‘ad’ for your Slash Fiction take on the Brian/Aaron flirtation?
  17. Will we see your next Flash Fiction submission here sometime in August 2020 (based on the rough average time between postings)? ;–)
  18. Based on their backgrounds and experiences, I think that the still-youthful Misters Martin would realistically be more likely than most to adopt an at risk child or two. I’m guessing that it’s unlikely that official foster or adoption agencies would look kindly on two ‘single’ young men during that time period. And coincidental meetings like the one they had with George are relatively unlikely. I don’t know how widely known to children Brighton was as a Gay refuge at that time. But seaside resorts in general are more likely draws than a ‘market town’ in a farming region, for example.
  19. I prefer them to be svelte and slim rather than puffy with supplement-fueled muscles or other height/weight disproportionate bulk. ;–) I know there are others who prefer those body types and I do have friends who fall into those categories, but I’m talking about my personal preferences without judgement about body types, physical shapes, or the preferences of others (especially since my doctor tells me I need to lose at least 15lbs). ;–)
  20. Well this is a first! Slash Fiction from the actual author! I’d be open to more Slash stories – as long as it’s not Harris/anybody. ;–)
  21. Waikiki’s beautiful white sandy beach is courtesy of California sand dunes, apparently exported on barges used to ship cane sugar to the refinery in Crocket (in the SF East Bay). The Dunes are in the Monterey Bay area. The sugar is sold under the C & H brand (California & Hawaii, naturally), but the brand was eventually taken over by Domino Sugar. Hawaii no longer grows sugar cane commercially (due to soaring costs and a severe decline in markets) and the Crocket refinery processes cane sugar from sources such as Brazil and Vietnam. ;–)
  22. And all this time I thought you Brits loved pebbly beaches more than sandy ones for some unknown, odd reason! I guess this means that all those post-WNBR pebbly beach photos are from Brighton! Perhaps taken by the same photographers that captured Chris in his very revealing brown short pants? ;–)
  23. Okay, so now we have Billy Martin. In the US, there was a baseball manager named Billy Martin who coached the Oakland A’s in the Seventies. He was well-known for his short temper. But you almost certainly wouldn’t have known that when you chose the names of your characters. Billy Lee was part of the title of a 1973 Seals & Croft's song, Ruby Jean and Billy Lee off the Diamond Girl album. While the bulk of the story predates the song, the album was #4 in the US and #8 in Canada. Apparently, the Los Angeles-based soft rock duo wasn’t as big in the UK. And now we have Chris Martin. The former Mr Gwyneth Paltrow is lead singer for Coldplay. I’m guessing you weren’t aware of Coldplay’s 2000 hit, Yellow when you chose Chris’ name either. Or maybe you were subconsciously aware of all those things (as well as the ‘coincidences’ I pointed out earlier) and decided to make a game out of their names! ;–)
  24. We have both because of the Norman French invasion of England! Blond (without the ‘E’) is the masculine form. Blonde (with the ‘E’ is the feminine form. So men are blond and women are blonde (or Blondie, if they’re a comic strip character). ;–)

    Chapter 8

wow what a chapter - such a marvelous scene between Zack and Brody as they exchange their second kiss, so sensual and exotic. Zack gives up his middle name and a beautiful name it is Zachary Aiden. You feel his strength of character in Zachary and his sensitivity in Aiden. There is now hope for Zack; a little bit of love dropped from haven; maybe just maybe Brody's love for him will give him the strength to tell of the horrors inflicted by his father. So sad that the father is such a villain with the mother oblivious and complicit in her inability to see the obvious. There are so many good fathers in the world but so often it the faulty ones that get the press and the mothers the love and glory.
