Slick, slippery, icy roads are totally smooth… ;–)

Then you’d better start writing now if you’re going to add eleven additional chapters to the story! Ash and Ember: Book 1½ – The Proposal? @Thorn Wilde. get your editing pencil ready! ;–)

What’s the penalty if you lie? …and is everything totally smooth? ;–)

Their parents did some research online and discovered names that they believed made a nice match for their twin boys: Aaron – Hebrew meaning enlightened Aaorn – Hebrew meaning mountain of strength Naturally, poor Aaorn is going to have to deal with autocorrect ‘fixing’ his name for the rest of his life. But their parents were more concerned with have a cute pair of names! Poor Aaorn will probably be called acorn or eeyore by witty children. He’ll need that mountain of strength to deal with the curse his parents unwittingly placed on him. ;–)

Everything will be smooth sailing now, right? So a little ABC detour will be a welcome treat! Or you could send Aaron’s previously unmentioned Gay twin brother to the Bay Area… ;–) We know you’ve suddenly become the soap opera specialist! ;–)

You two were discussing Ivor’s crystal balls that turned out to be moth balls! (I’m not sure the chemical solids are actually crystals, but they do have a sort of crystalline appearance. I don’t know how Ivor keep his balls sealed in polyethylene or polypropylene though.) ;–)

For whatever reason, GA’s software only offers three serifed fonts: Courier New, Georgia, and Times New Roman. All the others are san serifs and seem to be microsoft fonts (Ariel and Verdana, especially). I’m not sure why Palatino isn’t an option, but it indicates the choices aren’t based on the preinstalled fonts standard on early postscript laser printers. But in common with that selection, there isn’t much contrast possible because the choices are very similar.

That’s one option, the other is to change the font… ;–)

So I’m not precluded from commenting on Ivor’s balls? ;–)
  11. There are even a few stories I’ve read without Commenting – more than just a guilty pleasure, more of an embarrassed don’t-know-why-I’m-still-following-this-story situation. I finally unfollowed one that I apparently read the first time it was posted, but now feel is too Nifty for comfort. And there are several stories I started and somehow lost track of. Plus several I keep meaning to read (sorry Headstall, lomax, Mancunian, and others). Of course there are also some authors for whom I’d drop just about anything else if they posted something new (you all know who you are)! ;–) Someday when I have extra time, I’ll go back and review some of my older favorites (did I ever review A to Z?)…
  12. Nice writing, very suggestive. Carved ivory handle on the knife? “If you see me, leave with me.” Interesting. Thanks v
  13. Could Yuri spoof the call signal of a ‘Makarovian Navy’ Destroyer or a ‘Makarovian Coast Guard’ Cutter?
  14. When the ‘honeymoon is over,’ will there be trouble between Eric and Peter? ;–)
  15. TMI is just TIM jumbled up a little! ;–)
  16. I have a lot more stuff blocked (intentionally) on Safari and was able to see your image in Firefox. But usually the blocking means I just get an empty space, not the boxed blue question mark (which indicates an image that couldn’t be found). Very funny meme! Jay seems to be maturing at a genius-level pace – which is much more interesting than an infant that only eat, sleeps, cries, and poops! His daddies, on the other hand, are still communicating at an elementary school level. Jay will be mediating between his daddies in a few years (months?). ;–)
  17. Sadly, the image isn’t appearing for me… ;–)
  18. I wasn’t a huge fan of the TV show. I don’t think my mother wanted us to watch it. But my younger brother liked watching The Addams Family as well as The Musters, and since we only had a single 15” black and white TV, I watched them too. I think they were reruns when we saw them. ;–)
  19. So much for the theory that Sabrina falsely told her father that April was the baby daddy and that Jay was her child. Her father has been home from prison longer than Jay has been with Jett, right? ;–)
  20. In chapter 97, Jay will be attending college with his daddy, April – and April still won’t have told Jett that he used to be Theo. ;–)
  21. It took me a bit to remember that the little girl (Christina Ricci) was named Wednesday. I saw the two Addams Family movies a long time ago. And I’m really old, remember! ;–)
  22. Isolating in my apartment isn’t a whole lot different… ;–)
  23. TMI! ;–)
  24. Skis, skates, and skateboards don’t work for me! I’ve never broken any bones and I’d like to keep that record. Risk Averse, remember? ;–)
  25. San Francisco was the largest city on the Pacific coast until WWII. San Francisco was the dominant financial center on the west coast for a long time, even having one of the three US Mints (along with DC and Denver). And even though San José has a larger population, San Francisco is still the dominant city in the Bay Area (especially culturally). The far north coast is geographically isolated from the rest of the state. They even gave up on building a highway up along the coast through the area. The railroads couldn’t build a successful line through the region either – Southern Pacific’s lines are further east.
