    Chapter 36

I would have thought they would have selected networks from two different countries. BBC, ITV, Channel Four, CBC, France24, Deutsche Welle, NHK, and numerous others are major news organizations based outside the US. Certainly, Eric’s US citizenship means that the US networks are actually paying attention to an international news story, but other countries pay attention to news outside their countries (and outside the US) all the time! ;–)

    Chapter 36

Makarovia has a CBS network too? The Columbia Broadcasting System is the former name of the US network. It doesn’t have anything to do with Columbia, the country. The name was apparently chosen to indirectly refer to Christopher Columbus. The US network goes only by its former initials. ;–)
  3. What are Tyrone and Mrs Dewsbury doing in Cobourg? Did the pop ‘singer’ have a concert at the local mall? Was he finally deported for falsely claiming to be from the US? ;–)
  4. The Lincoln Star, Nebraska, February 17, 1917 Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Heureux Jour de l’Action de grâce! Happy Indigenous People’s Day!

    No Big Deal

Maybe Jett will change his mind once April gives him what no (cis-)woman could ever give him. He probably won’t be sitting comfortably for a few hours after he gets it. But it’ll be a sensation that he’ll be begging April for over and over again. April will have to hang onto that silly manbun because Jett will be quaking and shaking with massive orgasms! ;–)

    No Big Deal

No one controls or manages a crypto currency so the value can skyrocket in value against traditional currencies. But the value can also plummet because there’s nothing supporting it either. As long as those who created it don’t get too greedy too quickly, they can make millions off of the fools who invest in their pyramid scheme.
  8. That’s okay, according to Wayne’s Sunday/Wednesday schedule, he’ll be posting another chapter in just a few hours! ;–)
  9. Unfortunately their are still ignorant people who are afraid of toilet seats and breathing the same air! Edit: …And yet they refuse to get vaccinated!
  10. I have a difficult time every time I have to move! There’s just so much stuff (and there’s only me). With the last three moves (counting moving from one storage locker to another), I had the ‘benefit’ of having abandoned two-thirds of my stuff when I was evicted. Of course, I’ve since added more junk to my collection. ;–) It sounds like Clay is going to need to pack up all of Mason’s things as well as his own. That alone would be tough, but he’s also going to come across his wife’s things too. And there won’t be anyone there to support him. :–(

    Chapter 35

There will probably be Makarovia! Of Course I Know Where That Is! and Makarovia! Who Doesn't Know Where That Is? and Makarovia! Why Don’t You Know Where That Is? and Makarovia! How Could You Not Know Where That Is? and maybe others… ;–)
  12. Rory? ;–)
  13. Did the Mounties visit to protect you when PG&E shutoff the power? (No outage in my neighborhood a few blocks away from the other end of the BART line.) California needs to take over PG&E before they convince the PUC to raise their rates so they can upgrade and strengthen the system send out big executive bonuses and huge shareholder dividend checks again!

    Chapter 35

Maybe the boys should have taken a walk up to the roof. They could have had a bunch of guards panicking over the possibility of a sniper. Think about how quickly they’d have been hustled back inside where it’s safe! ;–)

    Chapter 35

So Eric’s claim is that he’s not a Bridezilla? ;–)
  16. When I visited Vancouver for Gay Games Celebration ’90, they told me that some refer to the Province as British California! The GA gang from Ontario denies ever hearing of such a thing. I had a conversation with the former MP from Burnaby, Svend Robinson. I was surprised at how much local Bay Area LGBTQ news he was aware of (at the time, the Fremont Unified School District had selected its first Openly Gay Board President – Fremont is where Tesla has its factory). I hadn’t even heard of him before the Games. ;–)
  17. You’re not worried about frostbite? ;–)
  18. You said it has been your experience that the Mounties always got their man, so I was wondering about your experiences… ;–)
  19. How many Mounties have you had? ;–)
  20. If we’re going to mention wild possibilities, there’s also that odious Pray-the-Gay-Away pervert! ;–)
  21. That would certainly be an unwelcome surprise! Alex and Luke returning would be a shock and presumably Alex still has a key to the house. But aren’t the RCMP, the OPP, and the Cobourg Police Service all searching for them? (I thought the Mounties always got their man!) ;–)
  22. I’m not sure how she’d have gotten into the house, but if it were Jo, Robbie could demonstrate that he’s working on his homework! ;–)
  23. Well, logically, that has to be Amy! But if you were going to be going for humor, it’d be Nicola! I’m hoping that Amy’s still asleep and that means Nicola is the most likely candidate. Robbie would be humiliated the most by being caught by Nicola, Donnie, or Susie. ;–)
  24. I’m glad Liz was there to save Alex from himself. Alex really need to get therapy for his addiction. Is there a Gambler’s Anonymous in his town? If Alex means for his relationship with Jeremy to last longterm, he needs to tell him the truth. The longer he waits, the worse it will be and the harder it will be for him to say anything. He’s not being particularly smart about either of his major problems.

    Chapter 34

The Yugo was built under license from Fiat (you know, Fix It Again Tony?) using old Fiat technology. Fiat’s technology wasn’t the most advanced at the time and they didn’t provide their latest to the company that built the Yugo. It was crudely assembled because they didn’t have experience building cars and Fiat’s own quality control wasn’t very good even by the standards of the time. More interesting is the man who imported the Yugo. Malcolm Bricklin imported Subarus, created the Bricklin SV-1, and imported and marketed the Fiat X1/9 (aka Bertone X1/9) and 124 Spider (aka Pininfarina Spider Azzura) after Fiat pulled out of the US market in 1982. The SV-1 was built in St John, New Brunswick in 1974-75 – it preceded the DeLorean. Malcolm Bricklin also attempted to import Chery cars from China, but the Chinese company committed fraud and the deal collapsed. ;–)
