  1. Happy Birthday, Jovian! I hope you have a great day!
  2. Wow, you've been here all of five minutes and already you're cooking up some great ideas! Actually a GA podcast is an excellent idea. And truth be told, I've often wondered if such a thing would work for GA. If the right content was delivered on a regular schedule, then I think it has the potential to succeed. But the hard part is getting the thing off the ground. Firstly we need someone who would host/co-host the show, and that person would need the equipment and stuff (e.g. something better than a webcam mic). The hardest part in my opinion (This part is for the Admins) would be the hosting/bandwidth costs of maintaining and streaming the show. But there is a site libsyn.com who do professional hosting/unlimited bandwidth tiered pricing. Quite a few professional podcasts that I listen to use this and their prices are pretty good considering what they offer. (So be sure to check that one out Myr! ) It's also free to be listed on iTunes, so it's a win win there. But back to the podcast itself, I'd really like to see something like this become a reality. So everyone chime in, lets see if we can get this idea noticed by the brains of GA!
  3. Happy Belated Birthday, James! I hope you had a great day!
  4. Happy 20th Birthday, Jamie! I hope you have a great day!
  5. The ultimate smoking deterrent? Yeah, about twenty pence.
  6. I knew it. Well, it had to be someone from TSOI, especially when you had a choice of almost 180 characters!
  7. Go ahead! Tell us anyway! Personally I'm thinking that it's a character from TSOI. Am I right?
  8. Windows XP all the way! Yes, we all know about you and your graphics cards! Or more to the point, how Win7 doesn't seem to like you that much!
  9. YAY! another Brit! Welcome to GayAuthors, kentish! I hope you enjoy your stay!
  10. I voted NO, because of this: This: AND this: They are all great, honest, and valid reasons, which I also believe in.
  11. Thanks! I was playing about with the idea for a while, and like you, I was thinking: "Oh the possibilities!" Not to mention how great it'd be to see some of these stories turned into actual films! I was wondering who was going to say Jesse! NP! I think Ariel would be a great character to pull off. Not to mention how much you could get away with!
  12. Here you go: Michael Jackson's ghost explained. Don't tell anyone!
  13. Happy Birthday, Robbee! I hope you have a great day!
  14. Happy Birthday, Pitchan! I hope you have a great day!
  15. Happy Birthday, Jessi! I hope you have a great day!
  16. Hehehe, with T'Luk do I tend to focus on the pointed ears quite a bit! I'd imagine that character would be quite fun to play as he is partially based on a person. Cute, clumsy (dyspraxic), yep you sound like Ariel alright! Hey, you can't play yourself! That's cheating! (Kinda) I haven't read that story, but I'm sure you could pull it off, regardless. But you might find it all a bit tiring, considering that you're gonna be the Director and all... SAVIK for Director!!!
  17. I like the idea of having the gallery displayed on the first page, but I'd prefer it if it could be moved to the side, rather than being the first thing you see.
  18. [Parts of this topic may contain spoilers] Hi! I recently came up with quite an interesting idea, (imagine this scenario): GayAuthors is making a film based on one of the stories hosted here. They ask YOU which character you'd like to be. You can be anyone from any of the stories. Also, if you're an author, let's take this one step further: Choose a character from one of your own stories as well. Obviously, as this is a made up scenario, visual appearance doesn't matter. All I'm interested in is to see which character you'd like to portray, based on their personality. And we'll also take acting ability out of the question. OK? And as it's my idea, I'll go first: If I had a choice to play anyone, it'd probably be Stephen out of 'From behind those eyes', By Viv. Just because of how detailed and intriguing the character is, (AND because of certain scenes with Jesse would be *amazing* ). I would also find the coming out scenes quite interesting to play. As for my one of my own characters, It'd be T'Luk. I'm not sure why, but playing a pointed ear, little emotion, handsome Vulcan appeals to me. So what about you guys? Who would you like to play and why?
  19. Awesome work, Myr! It's looking good! But if it's that much fun, perhaps you should let one of the other Admins have a go when 4.0 comes out!
  20. All the best towards a speedy recovery, Wildone. I hope you get well soon.
  21. Happy Birthday, W.L.! I hope you have a great day!
  22. Happy Birthday, Greg! I Hope you have a great day!
  23. That's true, but we mustn't forget that You have some good ideas there, but I'm really against Ashton Kutcher as Riker. I really don't see that one working. I think it's harder to come up with ideas for a possible cast of a TNG or DS9 movie, as the actors really made the role theirs, saying that, Quinto pulled off Spock really well, not to mention Urban as Bones. I haven't really got any ideas for actors, but for Star Trek: Nemesis, they did have to cast Tom Hardy to play a younger Picard. At the time, Adrien Brody was also thrown about as a possible younger Picard. Paramount have already green-lit the sequel, (actually it was given an unofficial thumbs up before the first one was released!). I highly doubt that they'd do a series, simply because of the cost and the actors. Now that the actors (many of whom, Star Trek is their first big-budget movie) have been given a chance to make a film, I don't think that they'll be very pleased with making a series for TV. Yeah, I also agree that it's unlikely that they'd 'reboot' all of the ST series. If they choose to redo DS9, then they bloody well better get Ron Moore back at the helm!
  24. Happy Birthday, Dion! I hope you have a great day!
