  5. It's such a tragic thing to happen to anyone, especially someone so young. But I really don't understand why Moir came out with such rubbish. What was she really seeking to achieve? Silly woman...
  6. :music: Happy Birthday, Dom! :music: I hope you have a great day!
  7. Alright, first off: I LOVED STARGATE UNIVERSE! It was just so...wow! I've watched it countless times (Gotta love Sky+), and it's still amazing! The acting, the directing, the music, CGI, setting. It's all fantastic. A real 10/10. Now I have to strongly disagree that this is Voyager, or Battlestar Galactica. They're all so different, you can't compare them. Sure they share some elements, but don't all Sci-Fi shows? As for the story, I think that's great too. Damn, I sound like a major fanboy! But to be honest, I had big reservations about this show. They cancelled Atlantis, and days later, this was green-lit. It didn't sit too well with me. But I figured I'd watch this, see how 'different' they were really gonnna go. I caught a bit of an Atlantis episode the other day and it felt so dated. Ok, perhaps that's the wrong word, but it didn't have that 'edge' that had me wanting more. Of course it's all down to personal opinion and ultimately what we all want out of the show on a personal level. For me, Stargate Universe gives me everything in one show. I can't wait to see how it progresses (or better still, I hope that it remains as good!) Oh, and as for gay characters in Sci-Fi, let us not forger BSG's Admiral Cain! I loved her before I noticed the relationship with Gina, but after I was like WOW!
  8. :music: Happy Birthday, Sacha! :music: I hope you have a great day!

  11. Agreed! I echo the other two's words in that I'd like to thank all of you for all the work you done in both setting up, preparing, and releasing these stories. I'd also like to thank the other members of my team: Dargon, and TalonRider, for their exceptional work they both exhibited while working on the Anthology. Thank all of you ever so much!

  18. Hey, abbillion! Great to see you here, mate! Yep, the people here are awesome indeed! (One of the reasons why we all love it!) See you around!
  19. (Looks at the others) Did he just say pretty friendly? It's great to see you here, mate! And like the ever warm welcoming committee said, welcome to the site! As David McLeod suggested, the (wink) Anthology section (wink) is filled with good stuff, as is eFiction, and lastly the many Hosted Authors have some pretty damn good stuff too! Take care!

  24. I agree with what you're saying. It will be hard enough to get something like this off the ground, but to keep it going with new content all the time, now that will be the hard part! But it's good that GA could host the files without too much strain on the server. That's make things easier if this project goes through. You could do it through YouTube, but I think it'd be easier to have it hosted from GA. That way you can download a simple mp3 file, which will be playable on most devices. Not to mention the fact that if it's hosted here, GA has complete control over the distribution over the file. That in itself is a direct benefit over YouTube. Hehehe, I know what you mean, there's a lot of stuff to take in. Still, here is a rough brakedown of what'll need to happen. - We need to find a host (You've kinda hinted that you'd do that) - The host will have to have the equipment and software needed to capture the audio. This will have to include audio from Skype, if there's two people at once - The host will also have to edit and piece together the audio, and save it to a small, but decent quality mp3 file - The file will then need to be sent to GA (for assumed moderation) before it can be hosted - The file is live and can be downloaded And that's pretty much it in its basic form. But of course I've missed out the most important part which is the content. Instinctively it would possibly be similar to the newsletter in that regard: Sneak peeks, Interviews, Latest GA news. But the better the content, the better the show will be. Note that I'm still all for this idea/project, but there are many things that need to be done/thought about before anything will materialise. Like Joe suggested, it might be beneficial to set up a separate forum for people interested in this idea, but if there will be little interest in a few weeks, then it will be flat on its face. -I call Kevin to share his opinion in the matter!
  25. Happy Birthday, Steve! I hope you have a great day!
