  1. Zachary quinto. Hands down! Why? Well for starters, he's a hot baddie in Heroes: And he makes a super cute Vulcan: Just look at those ears...
  2. To hell with the silence!
  3. I guess they are just trying to look towards another approach of activism. Their idea must be, "We have the big and colourful gay pride parades, why not try the opposite." I can see what they're trying to do, but honestly, how many people are going to take note of the few people who remain silent for the whole day? Not many. I'm not sure how successful it actually is in practise, but I have to agree with you, I don't think that silence is the best form of supporting gay pride. Edit: My previous post was a bit flakey, so I cleaned it up.
  4. I can understand where you're coming from but I can also see why it's a Day of Silence, as opposed to a Day of Noise. Perhaps the following quote, (taken from the DoS website) would help clarify: So it's a bit, "You shouldn't suffer in silence." But the whole idea behind the silence it is to bring attention to it. But I'm not sure how successful that idea is. I personally think that it's a bad idea. The silence faced by LGBT people shouldn't be demonstrated with more silence. A voice is what's needed. It's a voice which gains attention.
  5. Great story, Comsie! It was quite refreshing to see it from a hetero viewpoint, but most of all it was nice to have a big brother who put his younger siblings feelings above his own opinions and beliefs. Thanks for another great read, Comsie!
  6. Happy Birthday, Dalmatia! I hope you have a great day!
  7. Hey! I liked the ending of Voyager. Although one of my readers did mention that Janeway cheated, but it was a good episode. "Set a course, for home." - A perfect closing sentiment. Enterprise was good, but they butchered the last episode. The only good part was the last scene where Archer founded the Federation. That was the one of the best 45 minutes of television ever! I'd even go as far to say it was better than the season 4.5 cliffhanger.
  8. I always thought that it was a girl in your avatar. A girl cross between a cat.
  9. I'd say that all of the above are "sex", but personally I think that only penetrative sex would void your virginity. But we're all right in a way, it depends on what you define as "sex". *Of course if you've done everything then you need not worry about the technicalities.
  10. Awww! She looks lovely Jo. I love those big fluffy dogs! All nice and cuddly!
  11. Awww! There's some lovely pets here. That's just too cute!
  12. Yeah, I've caught it once or twice. While I don't like that kind of show, it is one of the better ones. The difference being that Steve actually acts like he's trying to get things done, rather than play up the situation. Kudos to him.
  13. Happy Birthday, Mattie! I hope you have a great day!
  14. I personally hate most Reality TV shows, however I watched almost every episode of last seasons I'm a Celebrity. The reason being that 3 out of the 12 contestants were either Gay or Lesbian, one of which was the great George Takei. But that was pretty much the only thing that interested me. Most other reality tv shows annoy me, along with the contestants.
  15. Happy Birthday, James! I hope you have a great day!
  16. Happy Birthday, Dan! I hope you have a great day!
  17. Happy Birthday, Jack! I hope you have a great day!

  20. Glad you managed to rescue the files. I was beginning to wonder why "Kiss of an Angel" appeared on Nifty a week before here. Hehehe, that's an idea.
  21. Happy Birthday, Rick! I hope you have a great day!
  22. I used MS Word 2002 for my first two chapters I wrote, but quickly moved over to OpenOffice. The reason being that Word liked to mess around with the layout and paragraphs when I saved the chapters into a .html file- (which I use to upload efiction and Nifty). But something to consider with OOffice is the fact that it gets quite slow in any document over ~4500-5000 words long. By slow I'm talking about a few second delay between pressing on the keyboard to seeing it appear -(My pc is relatively quick otherwise). I've also noticed that it's dictionary and correction tools are not as good as the ones available in Word. On the plus side it's free and handles .html layouts nicely. It can also save in .doc which makes it easy to send to Word users/Editors. I recommend that you use whichever one does the best job, or better still, the one you're most comfortable with using.

  24. Congratulations to all the Winners! I think there were some very good choices made this year, along with some beautiful awards, well done CJ! Now if only we knew who was withholding the cliffhanger award...and why. Well done guys!
  25. Pancakes! Ooo, the many varieties, but I have to agree, nutella is definitely the way to go. Dulce de leche also goes quite nice in a pancake, creating a tasty treat. No, I don't like the lemon and sugar one either, too sickly for my liking.
