  1. Yeah, it really was. I lived with my grandfather up until he died, and then I moved in with my mom after that. We moved away before I had the chance to become a Cholo.
  2. I was born in Boston, and lived in Beacon Hill, then in Dorchester, then we moved to New York, Manhattan, but moved away a little after 9/11 to Tennessee. It wasn't a huge change, moving from the city to the boondocks, but only because I was 11-12 when it happened. I live inside a pretty good sized city now, but it's still southern.
  3. I recommend a DSLR camera, personally I love Nikon. I think I spent $800 on a basic slr with two lens and a tripod.
  4. Haha "Definitely not Kitty"
  5. I'll reserve judgement. I didn't think Heath Ledger would make a good joker and he blew my opinion out the window.
  6. I like it, then I don't like it. I love reading Harry Potter fanfiction as long as it's not just "shipping" stories. I can't stand those. I like different perspective stories for sure, like what if the Dursleys loved Harry like a son, or what if he was in Slytherin, etc. I also long for a story about Grindlewald and Dumbledore and their big battle, or the events leading up to Voldemort's rise to power, so I'm constantly on the lookout for some good fanfiction (because I wish there was some legit story) about it. I also love Star Wars fanfiction. XD One thing I will not read is smut based fan fiction, it's just not my thing.
  7. Why is her tongue so white?
  8. When I worked at T-Mobile, you could wear your pajamas into the call center for all they cared, but now I'm working for Whirlpool, and even though you can wear jeans and t-shirts, most people wear business casual. I only have a tongue piercing and I take it out during work (if it grows in, I don't care but it hasn't yet), and I've always dressed casual so it's not an issue with me, but this one girl at work seems to be struggling with the fact that she can't wear short shorts or leggings with a t-shirt.
  9. I'm a terrible cook as it is, but I learned what convection oven means yesterday.
  10. To each his own. I've never been fond of Mac when I used them at school. It took me three days to realize that there was no second click on the mouse. O_O I have an iPhone because I need to get to know it for work, but I prefer my Samsung any day. I've had my Dell desktop for about a year and a half now with no trouble so far, and it's only worth about $1000 (not sure, it was a gift). My last Dell lasted me for four-five years and it's still working, cause I gave it away to a friend. XD And Apple Care Plus is crazy. If you opt out of it, you have to pay for their technical support, and it only covers damage that Apple feels is worth replacing/fixing. It also doesn't cover theft or lost, so you still need to purchase insurance (phone) through Asurion anyways, which is an additional $144 (at T-Mobile) a year. I opted out of the $99 Apple Care and only got insurance on it. Who needs all that anyways? XP
  11. Haha I really loved this movie too. His friend M was epic. <3
  12. JOHN AND HANK GREEN Cause knowledge is fun and they are adorable.
  13. I can't think of what to say, it's really heart wrenching.
  14. As an addict heading back to rehab myself, I know that "want" so if you ever want to talk about it, you can email me.
  15. I had corrective surgery on my legs growing up from cerebral palsy so I wouldn't have to walk heel toe but it only fixed one leg really. I could do the surgery again so I can get walk completely normal (not that I walk strangely) but there's a large chance it could disable me so I don't. I think what Angelina did was tough but I'd probably do the same thing in her shoes.
  16. That's funny because we dropped an iPhone 5 at work and then a S4 and the iPhone shattered up, and the S4 cracked once. O_O
  17. I was in Florida.
  18. I wanna touch it. D=
  19. Hi, I'm Lacey *male* and I like cars and pizza.
  20. I work at T-mobile, and I get it a hundred times when I offer insurance on a new phone purchase. They say "Well, I'm very careful with my phone, and the deductible isn't worth it." and then for every one of those calls, I'm getting a call from someone who had their phone lost or had it stolen asking what I can do for them..... Or worse, a broken phone with no insurance, and they ask for me to exchange it, but warranties do not cover physical or liquid damage. My only option for them is to purchase a new phone outright, and that's like pulling teeth for some people. Even without insurance, it's good to call the carrier because they can suspend the line and block the device through its IMEI number so whoever finds or stole it won't be able to use either.
  21. I think Blackberry just waited so long before jumping on the new smartphone wagon, but the Z10 was really awesome. Even without a physical keyboard, it's easy to text. The keyboard is designed to adapt to the individual user, and I was able to text in Spanish and English without having to change any settings whatsoever. And there's video calling. The thing I liked most was the flow it had. Basically you never had to exit out of an app to go to another app. It all integrates itself together. I was on facebook and saw I had an email and went to it to check it out, but went right back to what I was doing. We also did our entire training with it from a Z10. It had the powerpoint, the videos, and extra trainers conferenced in. It's a really impressive phone, so I don't think BB is in the grave, just a little slower to jump in. Also the battery life was crazy long.
  22. For the HTC One, I really don't remember much, except it has a really neat interface called Blinkfeed (I think) but it basically helps with the whole 'having to exit one program to go into another one'. The metal didn't mess with the signal and it feels really good for a large phone and the quality was pretty darn amazing, and I think it ran both Jellybean and it's own software but I forget the name, and the battery did drain a bit quick, like the Samsung. That's about all I remembered. And the iPhone training was just recent. I liked how all the apps are preapproved so there's no chance of malware, and how user friendly it was and integrated it is with other Apple products. SIRI was a load of fun talking to too. I asked how old she was and she got sassy with me. XD The glass of the screen is tempered glass so it's really easy to break, and the screen is small, but then again, I have a Galaxy S3.... The other downside is if you don't purchase Apple Care Plus for $99 and need to get technical support from Apple, you have to pay about $30 upfront, even if your carrier was unable to assist you. And the coverage only protects twice against damage, and only damage that is "economically repairable".
  23. We've already done training for the Iphone and HTC one, both are great phones.
  24. Yep. Any device really. So if someone just bought a Samsung Galaxy 3 and wanted the iPhone 5, they could trade in the phone and it takes off of the price of it.
