  1. The best of both! Sounds wonderful.
  2. I grew up in a concrete world. It was fine - then. Now, it's just another crowded, dangerous, run down city like any other big city. Soon, I hope to build a retirement house on my five acres at the top of the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. Lush greenery and a waterfall out back. I can't wait for traffic noise to be replaced by bird song.
  3. I never imagined men needing grooming like a dog... hmmm....kinda fun to think about a new business venture! No, I'm NOT a dog groomer. I'm a Man groomer! Talk about a dream job!
  4. Well, that's a important point. it's vital to feel good about yourself. Although, I think it may be a bit like wearing your pants below your ass, most people over 25 are laughing at those doing it, thinking how ridiculous they look. And then there are people...of a certain age... that remember when you would be arrested for wearing your pants that way! We used to call it indecent exposure - unless you were at the circus, then we called them clowns! People have so many bizarre notions. I don't really understand where they come from. I've lived through MANY tends, but very few of them in the past were as disturbing as many of the current fads. We seem to have a need for more extreme measures all the time. Although I can't talk too much - I was one of the 'weirdos' when I was young; I liked hip-hugger jeans the first time around, disco music, and I had a pierced ear long before men were piercing ANYthing. I also had a three-foot long braid of hair when most men wore their hair short.
  5. hehe...if you have something to show off, it won't be hidden by some hair! If it is hidden by hair, then it's just a 'lil thang and shaving just emphasizes the little! ...and then there's the whole plucked chicken look - it's just SO weird!
  6. Teasing is good, we like it!
  7. Are you teasing us...? I still haven't gotten any responses to my question about why so many are so repulsed by hair... Hmmmm....?
  8. OK, I'm (as usual) the odd man out. I come from a very large family of hairy men. I grew up learning to love hairy guys, and the guy in this photo is a bit unruly, but I find it very, VERY attractive! I'm older now so my body hair is falling out ...or migrating to ears... but I was a bit of fur ball myself when younger. In those days hair was considered a must so I was actually rather popular. Today, at the gym, I see grown men without pubic hair - they look so odd! Like giant pre-pubescent children or a plucked chicken. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable it must be when the hair grows back. I don't understand why people are so repulsed by hair. They don't mind ink or piercings, but a naturally occurring thing like hair will drive them screaming in the other direction...?
  9. Not at all. We are just deliberating about where and when...
  10. Minneapolis, Minnesota: 85 degrees and 85% humidity.
  11. I'm a bookmarker too. I must have a couple of hundred. Organized, sort of, but I'm always bookmarking so I can come back and read more, use links I think might lead to something cool, or places that I like to revisit - like Jeff Dunham! ( http://www.jeffdunham.com/#/videos )
  12. Oh gosh, my first Pride festival was such a blast! I was afraid and excited; there were so many people! My neck nearly broke, my head was swiveling around so fast and often. So many cute guys!!! It was a hot day and I had very short shorts on and I had to buy a fanny pack so that I could cover my.... uhm, self. Too many cute guys!!! If I had a pacemaker, the alarm would have been screaming! I remember seeing shirtless men holding hands and walking around as if it was perfectly normal! GREAT music in those days; I danced in the street with complete strangers. Now, however, it's different, at least where I live. Each year it became a more surreal experience. Every year I started seeing things that I didn't even know existed! Nearly naked leather bound men showing everyone that they are completely hairless; emaciated twinks wearing a bit of dental floss and a multi-colored clown's wig, obese women with their tits flapping under thread-bare camouflaged T-shirts spitting tobacco; who needs it? It used to be about pride, but it seems to have devolved into a contest to see who has the biggest F-you attitude. But I suppose that reflects the general attitude of people all over the nation now. I have a few gray-haired friends that still gather and talk about when we were young - and how our fight for pride has been twisted into a demand for absolute reverence no matter how debauched the act. Sadly, common sense and decency are no longer common.
  13. My little 10" Acer Notebook has been GREAT! I spent about 700 dollars. I use the Microsoft Office Suit and have had no problems. On the Internet, it's a bit slow, but I never meant for it to be an Internet computer. I use my 27" Apple for Internet. The apple if a plow horse when it comes to stability. It just keeps going. No viruses, worms, etc. It's been going for 2 years almost 24/7. FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN INTERNET USE, THE APPLE IS A PIECE OF SH*T. I spent over 5 grand on this piece of crap! But it's almost worth it since I don't have to deal with McAfee updates every 30 seconds and no pop up windows warning me that my computer might be infected so I should click here...
  14. Recently I downloaded a book that seemed like it would be great but the speaker was too animated and slow. I could have read ten pages before he spoke the first couple... The idea of audio books is not new and one that I have known about for a long time. A hundred years ago, when I was young, I used to help my father and his best friend deliver special radios for blind people. My dad's best friend, Bob, owned a radio station for the blind. Each morning they would read the newspaper and announce scheduled readings of various papers, magazines, and books. My daily schedule no longer involves long bus rides but if it did, I might be more apt to use audio books or e-readers. Long, LONG before Walkmans and Ipods, when I used buses to get around, I had at least three books in my backpack at all times. One book for the ride to, one book for the ride from, and one book for breaks while at work. (Not to mention the one on the nightstand for before bed, or the pile of semi-abandoned books on the coffee table.) I could have used a Kindle or a Nook!
  15. One of my favorite books is 101 Uses for a Dead Cat. ...'nuff said?
  16. Man, there are so many things I could list! Cell phones going off in movie theaters or during class. People who drive as if they need braille markers, - just get out of the way! Guys who think they're hot while trying to keep their pants on just UNDER their skinny or fat ass. Overweight girls with skin tight shirts. Baseball caps worn sideways. Pierced lips, eyebrows, and noses. Tattoos all over everywhere. People who should know better, who don't even come CLOSE to speaking English properly, i.e. You seen it? I don't be doing what? Dis don't be good. Do dat dude. Whadup? We be jess messin' wit' cha. Smokers People who think education is a waste. There's a million others but I'm afraid I would come across as a real prick if I listed many more.
  17. ...and what's wrong with a cuddly little dragon...? Hmmmm?
  18. I'm sorry people. But SOME things in life really ARE black and white. Whether you like them or hate them, the Harry Potter books and movies are AMAZINGLY creative. Harry even puts Frodo to shame!
  19. To blow them or blow them up, yes, a tiny word can make a huge difference. Perhaps if we did more of one there would be a lot less of the other!
  20. Hope and optimism. Vital qualities, both.
  21. Fair, equal treatment. I like it!
  22. I'm hearing about mobile phones emitting just enough radiation to affect the brain. So does that explain why people are too dumb now to put their phone away when driving?
  23. Somewhat off topic but related: I'm afraid religion is becoming a problem for many people in many places. People seem to think now that if someone disagrees or believes something different that it's ok to blow them up. Most people can be fitted into a pigeonhole if we push hard enough. Stereotyping can be easy if we don't look too closely... I know effeminate straight men and I know very masculine gay men. I know very masculine women for that matter. Straight women. My straight brother-in-law hates sports and my gay best friend is an absolute lunatic when he's watching football. I sort of like the see-through shorts but even that loses its appeal after a few minutes. Soccer and basketball used to interest me - back when shorts were short, and men's legs were hairy, not smooth and shiny like my sister's legs. But I digress...
  24. If that's the case, then HELL yes!
