Are there people in life that transcends sexual appreciation? Absolutely. I am 2000% gay. Never EVER questioned it. Never EVER considered dating or sex with a girl. In fact, I'm pretty sure that I'm so gay that my eyes can't even see most females. However... Kim was a female, my best friend for years. We were together so much that most people thought we were dating. Even dancing at the gay bars, I would suddenly realize that I had lost all awareness of everything around me. I had gotten lost in the action of dancing with a girl, my dearest Kim. Everything seemed right between us, except that she was female and I was gay, We were SO good together that we ended up having to end the friendship. We both fell in love with each other and so neither of us was able to move forward. She wanted us to get married and have our separate sex partners on the side. I wanted my sex partner to be my only partner... But yes, there really is such a thing as emotional love without the physical manifestation of that connection.

I am SO left-handed! I might as well not even have a right hand. My hair is clockwise, counter clockwise, and every other direction - it's just a mess of curls. The fingers in question are the same size - on both hands. I'm the third son of four boys. The survivor of a set of twins - also supposedly a trait for a tendency to be gay. The 3rd child of six.

I normally do not like this type of movie. Blair was a total joke. But this one seems to be somewhat well put together. Years ago, when The Exorcist came out, I was the only one in the theater chuckling my way through it so I guess I'm a tough one to get frightened.

As gay men, we learn to notice very small signs. Some guys make it easy, (Thank you!) and some guys are extremely difficult to figure out - one way or the other. I used to work at the University of Minnesota, running gay support groups and I was able to hone my gaydar skills so I feel pretty confident that I can at least tell when a guy isn't all THAT straight.... Surprisingly, I am told I set off very few gaydar alarms. Now that either means I'm an old troll that nobody wants to notice or I'm doing a piss poor job of letting other gay men known I'm right there in front of them! If I suspect a guy is gay and have a chance to talk to him, I'll usually try to let him known, (somehow) that I am gay. He can take it from there. Although I'm a huge flirt so it's not that tough to figure me out - even if your gaydar is shut off!

I'm not sure about where you live, Graeme, but where I live, in Minnesota, 90 million wouldn't last all that long. 25 years ago, my grandparent's home on a lake in Northern Minnesota sold for just under 3M and it wasn't anything spectacular, it wasn't even one acre. They also paid over 12,000 a year in taxes back then. Neighborhood associations dues were 1,500 a year. Jimmy Jam, a record producer, was selling his house on lake near me and it was listed for 20+ million. Taxes there are over 77,000 a year. I'm fairy confident that I could spend 90M without much trouble. There are 19 people in my immediate family; soon to be 20. To build a house here, it easily costs over 200 dollars a square foot and say you only build a 50,000 square foot house, that alone is 10M. And that's just the house, not the land, the upkeep, the taxes, or utilities. I was looking at a fairly bland full section (640 acres) of land as possible development property and the owners were asking 55M. One year of college tuition is around 65,000 - now. I have 6 kids, so that's just over 1.56M for tuition alone. Minnesota sales tax is just under 10% depending on what you're buying and where. Property tax on my house now is 9000 annually. Yeah, I think I could burn through the bulk of that 90M in no time. I'd like the chance to be proven wrong, however!

I would love to have the problem of trying to figure out what to do...! I'm such a practical, (read boring) person that I'd be rather mundane about it all. 1. An estate for self and sibling's families 2. Trust funds for the estate and college educations 3. Safe investments that would pay dividends And for me, personally, I'd like to have a personal trainer to help me get back into good physical condition. ...and a cool little car.

Good for you and good luck. Depending on whether you're trying to become an adonis or just trying to be more healthy.... Walking for 20+ minutes at a good pace, breaking a sweat if you can. Eventually go farther, faster. Eat whatever the hell you want - just keep the proportions reasonable, (That's less than the entire Haagen-Dazs container!) Cut back or quit with the soda. Diet soda has crap in it that's hard on the kidneys and joints. Good, clean water is what a body requires. Hide the TV remote - get up and change the channel. Don't sit at the computer for more than 45 minutes at a time - get up and MOVE! Find a workout buddy that is deaf to your complaints about working out. And working out doesn't have to be in an expensive gym - or even indoors! Just move more. Plant a garden full of veggies and weed it by hand, make extra trips up or down stairs, walk to places close enough to get to; just move more. Take your nieces and nephews, cousins, siblings, whoever to the playground and PLAY! If you're shooting for adonis status, get a personal trainer that knows what they're doing. You have specific situations that need to be kept in mind. When it's your (healthy) life we're talking, is it too expensive to go organic or pay the trainer who is nothing more than a teacher? Think of it as higher education, they can teach you a GREAT deal about how to be healthy. I always get a kick out of people who say they can't afford to eat organic, healthy food. What they're saying is that they would rather pay for the doctors and medication...? Helloo! (As they light their cigarette or open a beer.) JUST MOVE MORE - A LOT MORE!

I voted for the average guy. For several years I had a closet model and that was SO draining. But I have learned that the rich guy is just as draining - in different ways, but just as tedious. Actually, the rich guy was the most gently abusive person I've ever known. Just give me a Joe Average. I don't mind a tummy, (Especially a hairy one! ) If someone never has self-doubt, are they really even human? How many of us truly live up to our potential? Reasonable devotion, honesty, and modest income. What else is really needed? Together, we can determine the rest!

Good flick. The Pine package is memorable. Need more of that sort of thing. Leonard Nimoy, even now, in his 70's, is SO impressive. Admittedly, I am not a HUGE Trek fan, however: questions for the hardcore: Didn't the TV show have a different explanation for how they all got together? It seems to me I remember Bones being dragged from the countryside and was more of less drafted, wasn't he? And then there's a the little issue of his Spock's mother. Did I miss something? Did they kill her when the planet Vulcan was ruined? How do we explain Jane Wyatt, the actress that played Spock's mom in the TV series, which is supposed to take place well after the time of this new movie? Also, there were several episodes of the TV series where they returned to Vulcan for various reasons; Spock was in Must, for one of them... Well, they talked about his boyhood and growing up on Vulcan, so how could the planet have been destroyed? Or am I throwing monkey wrenches?

Gosh, a lot of you people have disappointed me. You don't believe in God, ghosts, UFO's of anything else that isn't made of concrete. You have limited your world to such a tiny place. I would be interested in knowing WHY people are so uncomfortable with possibilities they can't explain? Can one believe in suspended belief? I have no clue if there REALLY is a God or if there REALLY are ghosts or if there REALLY is such a thing as an honest politician or lawyer, but hey! I believe in the possibility of the option at least.

A very, very interesting subject! My entire life has turned out to be one long ghost story so far... I do not believe in ghosts as most people would describe them, but I am absolutely certain, beyond any doubt, that there is another dimension from which departed "souls" can reach out to us. I have toyed with a ghost story of my own, and it's a love story. Write, writer!

My opinion of Canada? It's big. It's progressive. It's clean. It's better than the US in many ways. It doesn't erase its history like the US tends to do. But it's damn cold! But then I might be a bit biased; I'm a descendant of the founding Ouellette family...

Well, as much as I hate to admit it, I agree with Graeme. You usually piss me off, Kiwi, but this time I'll stand shoulder-to-shoulder, hold your hand and play (really) nice! I too think sexuality is on a sliding scale, not one side or the other of a coin. As usual, when speaking of humans, there is only one hard and fast rule - every area is a gray area. Just about everything in regard to humans is messy. That's part of what makes us so amazing; the endless combinations of traits that mix together when, well, when OTHER things mix together.... One statement I would be extremely cautious of repeating however, was the claim of a higher percentage of homosexuality in families with a lot of boys. My family is enormous; tons of uncles with tons of sons with tons of sons. I have over 100 first cousins alone, more than half of them are male. I am one of eight boys in my own, immediate family. I have never met another male in my family that is gay. (Damn it!) There may be some closet cases, and my gaydar has been set off a few times but so far, no other male has come out. I am the very vocal exception. A couple of close female relatives said they experimented, but that's it. I can't even find any obviously questionable guys, for crying out loud! They all seem so happily straight, it's disgusting! All those summer's skinny dipping and shirtless basketball games and beer guzzling TV-in-the-garage-football games, you'd think all that testosterone would get to even the straightest arrow! Nope. Just plain 'ol me - driven stark raving mad, surrounded by un-kissing cousins....
