  1. Oh, all hell is about to break lose, I just can't wait...
  2. Honestly, thought they would have had that conversation before now; glad to see they both seem to be on the same page. One question, went back and check the first few chapters but could not see where it said, did Anna just leave Adam or divorce him???
  3. Like any good son; Paddy will never let either of them live that scene down. So hot, and glad they did not try and jump into anything more. Hope the situation with Payne's father doesn't have other repercussions.
  4. Well, the start and finish sucked on the date; but the middle was delicious. Loved how Sasha just took charge and got Ian ready for the date, and love how they got caught kissing by Paddy.
  5. There are just so many facets to this story. Each adds a little sparkle, even if they are not all rainbows and sunshine. You know that whatever is going on with the Captain is going to effect everything.
  6. So glad that Adam was upfront about his situation; even if it caused a momentary hiccup. I would really like to know if Adam told the Captain what happened when he got stabbed and how it was handled.
  7. WOW, Anna does come across as a total bitch...
  8. Well, that was certainly not the way I would have thought he would have announced that to his mother, way to funny. He does need to tell the Captain what happened the guy could easily have gotten him killed and still could.
  9. Well, it better be a damn good excuse for the stand up. Have to say, that I am getting into this more each chapter, doesn't always happen but definitely is with this one. Keep up the great work.
  10. Christmas is hard on a lot of people for many different reasons. I for one never cared for the holiday, not even when I was very young, and I like it even less today. Loved the note from the mother, it was great...
  11. If they met at the wedding, even just peripherally, you would think they would at least semi recognize each other. Payne is just so interesting, her character is just so well developed. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  12. Had this conversation with a nephew and cousin, my nephews mother couldn't handle the idea of it and the father wasn't in the picture; the cousin was gay, and while his parents had not issues with that, just didn't know how to talk about it... Truly, one of the most mortifying things you can talk about; but oh so important to do so. Really well written.
  13. OMFG, I am so going to love all of the auxiliary characters; even the ones that turn out to be assholes. This chapter truly just flowed. I find when you get auxiliary characters that are fleshed out, it makes everything about the story more enjoyable.
  14. Honestly, a school principal in Kentucky, what did he expect? I would bet a great many would be like that; of course, probably smart enough to hide it in public. Well written and this chapter flowed better, can't wait to see what happens next. Love the description of the families, gives you a fuller picture of what the background is.
  15. WOW, lots of information but can refer back to this when I need to know who is who. Interesting start, pacing is a little different, but works with how this is written.
  16. Hi All, I have heard from Mark and has had a major setback in his life. A member of his family suffered a truly devastating medical diagnosis and is undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, complications have arisen. This is really taking all of his time and focus. We did not really even mention a timeframe for his continuing either of his current stories. I just don't think that is important with the current situation. I am asking everyone for some prayers for those that believe and for those that don't just good thoughts to go out to Mark and his family. He truly has given real joy to the lives of so many; so a few moments of prayers and good thoughts just don't seem like to much to ask.

    I Accept

As with any modern business, it isn't a bullet that usually kills you; it's the paperwork and lawyers. Not sure about his choice of beta; but to some extent that is a gut choice or reaction and only the person fully knows why. I hope Adrian doesn't get so buried in the new responsibilities that he fails to find out who was behind the killing of that last Alpha, or that could come back to cost him. Well paced, and the writing was very good. Can only get more involved going forward.
  18. The idiocy of those involved in starting a war never match the true horror of those that have to live through it. Long ago someone said the old and powerful start and plan the wars but the young and poor fight and die in them. What is going on today caused me to reread this story, very relevant possible.

    So Say We All

Excellent chapter, writing was first rate as usual. I don't think the four remaining members of the council were behind the assassination as I don't think they had the balls to do so. They only tried to fill the power vacuum. They really didn't have what it takes to lead, the other three shifting and joining the fight proved that. The idea that one of the old families that lost power does make sense, but there really isn't anything to support it yet. Bloody beginning to the start of Dorian's leadership. Have to wonder how far he will go to find out who was behind the death of the former Alpha.

    Chapter 9

Very well written and the pacing was first rate; but Duke Silver is proving to be an ass... Jealousy says so much about you rather than the person you are jealous of.

    I Never Knew

Truly felt the emotions just pour off the page; the writing and pacing were truly excellent in this chapter. Have to admit that I am glad a second attack did not take place. Hope that they are able to find out who was behind the attack in the first place. Can't wait to see what happens next.

    Chapter 9

Writing and pacing were excellent but I truly hated how this chapter ended. Manu deserves better and if Phillip is going to repeat this during each jump it is going to annoy the hell out of me.

    Preparations

Well, Dorian seems to be moving this forward. But with one surprise attack, wouldn't a memorial service be a perfect place for a second one? Can't wait to see what happens next.

    Chapter 8

I am starting to question the sanity of those in charge of the time travel test; Phil honestly doesn't seem qualified to have even made a small jump; much less the one he ended up making. Manu is rather scatterbrained and his bravado could easily get more than just him killed. Having said that, I find them together to be a true delight.

    Chapter 8

The whole time I was reading this chapter, a scene from The Lion in Winter kept playing in my head. In it Eleanor of Aquitaine is arguing with her son, Prince Richard and he says: You're so deceitful you can't ask for water when you're thirsty. We could tangle spiders in the webs you weave Of course the fact that the fabulous Katherine Hepburn and in his first major role, Anthony Hopkins were doing the acting the scene simply crackled with electricity. I don't think the Empress is really that smart or subtle, and if the Emperor can't control her; she will definitely need to be removed. But this engineering by her, will at least bring matters to the head. I am starting to think much less of the Emperor as well, he is either blinded to his wife's actions or truly doesn't understand what is behind them; either makes him maybe just as dangerous to the survival of the Empire as she is..
