    TA-Epilogue

Dammit, because of Ethan's reaction; you had really convinced me Dorian was dead. I am glad he is alive; but I hate that his family is not able to know, maybe in the future. I do agree that every member of the McKinney family over the age of about ten needs to die and those younger than that need to be monitored, maybe for the rest of their life. Glad that Dorian is going to be the Alpha's mate, in some ways a truly fitting end... Great job and well done...

    The Order

Well, you sort of have to believe that the General that sent them on this mission is on the rebellion. Never an easy thing to start up a new country or split an old one. Writing is good and the flow to the story has been excellent so far. Background information is always a bonus, helps to flesh out the characters and how we feel about them. You would have to think that maybe at least one of this team is in on the rebellion as well; something this important would want to have a finger in the pie so to speak.
  3. The situation with Marie and Ryan caused a major flashback to Claire and Jack, JP''s reaction was so funny. It seems like the addition of this new wing of the family could provide some great material. Colin and Chris seem like they would be interesting additions on several levels. I do hope that JJ and Carullo meet up and that John is able to sense that JJ needs his support. It could easily blow up in both their faces; but here is hoping that it doesn't. I think even if they are not a couple, JJ and John could be good for each other on different levels. Several choruses of Bravo....

    Chapter 29

Another delightful chapter of this ongoing saga; it flowed beautifully. Granger just can't help but find new admirers everywhere he goes; but have to wonder if the two he picked up here might not have been dancing around each other previously, that could cause another issue all together. I do hope that Van Rajalin helps Mr. Schein with the Ursula, he being a partner, silent or otherwise should benefit those involved. Sort of agree with Timothy M., that Von Galen might be the clingy type, and that isn't something Granger would enjoy. Glad to see that Granger is sending off Weston with a bang, so to speak. I hope that Weston is able to get the ship and crew safely back to home and avoid that pesky Admiral Dickson, I am sure he would delay them if he could... Do hope that Genarro is going to be okay, would hate to lose him at this point... Well, George, Winkler, and Jacobs are about to embark once again on a dangerous and perilous journey through unforgiving terrain. Hope they are ready for it; I think the cold, ice, and snow might well be worse than the sand and heat from last time... Can't wait for the next update, great job Mark.

    Last Words

A fitting tribute; but I could use a few more deaths as the members of that rotten family are hunted down and killed in any number of horrible and truly gruesome ways...
  6. Really like this; I can feel JJ's pain and panic. Working in the business he is in; something like this would be terrifying. JJ has so many underlying issues anyway that gaining weight could push him to do something unfortunate. I could easily see JJ becoming bulimic. He already talked about how little he was already eating, that in itself can cause a host of both physical and psychological issues to arise. Brad must really care about Jake to put up with his attitude; Jake seemed to be just trying to pick a fight so he could go away mad. Can't wait to meet the rest of Mike's family, this is going to be so good.
  7. OMG, I swear when I was reading this chapter I totally saw Kathy Bates when she was in "About Schmidt" with Jack Nicholson. It just popped in my head.

    epilogue

While I thought the story was well written with interesting characters and good pacing; the ending came so out of no where; that I just don't know how I feel about the story overall. I did like how Peter took it upon himself to end Angela; and Tommy and the rest by doing so. I think in a way he knew that Simon wasn't going to stick around; either Angela was going to direct him to the master or he was going to go off and try to find him on his own. Wish we could have gotten a little more of what was going on around Peter and how everyone handled what happened and the other disappearances.

    of Monsters

Well, damn, I did not see that coming at all; totally threw off what I thought was going to happen. Still well written but this just came out of no where, doesn't fit well with what was developed so far.

    Chapter 28

So Granger, Winkler, and Jacobs are off on another excursion; at least this time Granger and Winkler won't have to be dressed as women. While I am sure that in the end all three will survive, I do worry about this trips; luck isn't limitless for anyone. George is lucky that Caroline and his father have his back on the Homefront; because I just never will trust the Guild, even if they share an objective in this instance. In reality, for a variety of reason, no one but George could make the trip to Saint Petersburg. I am sure that Weston will prove himself sufficient to get the ship and crew back to London. Don't relish Treadway's job of having to explain matters to Caroline, although she understand duty very well herself. Have to say that these last few chapters have flowed beautifully and the writing has just been superb. Can't wait for the next update.

    Hunter

Well, once again, they did not think this out. Why try to get somewhere during the day and then not give yourself enough time to do so? Tommy isn't going to just roll over and play dead for them; and you would not think that either Peter or Simon is much in the way of a fighter....

    Blood

Well, Angela's behavior at the windows was very reminiscent of Salem's Lot, so I had already considered this implication. But who made her a vampire? Even in the old lore, someone would have been there to turn her... Wish we knew a little more about Simon's past. He certainly took Peter without much preparation and seemingly fairly easy; not something you would expect a teenager his age to be able to do. Questions and more questions, can't wait for the next update.

    Witnessing

This chapter was so well written. The pacing and flow was excellent as well. Parts of this chapter were so realistic that I honestly felt a momentary start when the fog came down the hill toward Peter. The deal with Angela floating at the window so reminded me of Salem's Lot...
  14. Another well written chapter, but the pacing seemed a little off on this one, not sure why. This group works well together; but Eli is right; if that many people died there, the skeletal remains would be all over the place; plus who cut the rope? Even without Dr. Grimm's reaction, common sense would say that there are others in the city. The question is are they sane? Are they from there or did the Eastern Army send them? Who do they see their allegiance belonging to?
  15. Okay, I do have to say that I really do like the story; but what the hell... They are about to go on a super secret, highly dangerous mission; and they pick this moment to sleep together for the first time??? Even if they are cold as ice, and nothing in either of them says they are; this could completely compromise the mission. Are they going to be focused on each other at a critical moment and miss something; or even worse, not be able to get something done because they are worried about the other. There are reasons that people that are involved are not on teams this together...

    The Date

Writing is really good and the pacing is excellent. Now that we are away from the medical part somewhat; I am liking the story better. Eli and Ryan do seem to have great chemistry and they both have tragedy in their past; sometimes it helps if the other person understands that issue in your past isn't always easy to move past.

    The Aftermath

For a CMO, Eli doesn't come across as all that professional. 20 dead and he seemed to spend way to much time and energy on an issue that a nurse could have easily taken care of; get your priorities straight.

    The Party

Well written and the pacing was good; but I can't believe for people that survived what they supposedly have that they could be this stupid. Who the hell throws a birthday party in an area knows for psycho's that are known as ragers; then turn up the music and start a bonfire? Why not just put a big sign out that says kill me???
  19. WOW. bleak worldview, but a great start to a story. Just enough to wet the appetite but leaving you wanting more.

    Chapter 23

The pacing was perfect in this chapter. I really enjoyed the action, but we are getting more loses each time they leave the base it seems like. Can't say that I care about Kelly or her father getting killed; seems like their allies don't care about them at all, what a shock. Everyone is going to have to toughen up; they have done a good job; but it isn't only going to be the aliens that they are going to have to deal with. As a species humans have never behaved well left without rules.

    Visions

Not sure if that was a waltz or a minuet but it was well done.

    Pagans

Well, unless the members of the Pagan club are hiding their true selves under a spell, they are totally harmless. Peter was better this chapter, but I do think he should have talked to Jane over the weekend. Okay, if the missing girl is who Jane really saw; then this has been going on longer than anyone realizes.

    Coven

Sorry, but Peter came across as a real ass in this chapter. He should have checked on Jane. He could easily tell that she was really upset and then just acted like it was her issue; when he was the one that drug her out to look around.
  24. centexhairysub

    Seeking

I think Peter was hunting Simon more than Tommy. Jane is a kook.

    Nightwalker

Well, what an interesting conversation this turned out to be for the first time that Peter and Simon had a real conversation about something... Well written and the pacing continues to be excellent.
