Phillip needs to be very careful, if he gets caught talking to a machine or something that no one else can see; he probably will not survive the consequences. I am sort of surprised that he hasn't decided to speak, he could explain that an accident/the sun/something prohibited him from speaking for a while. Chapter flowed well, and really developing a feel for the characters.

OMG, I just loved this chapter from start to finish. Jihan has no idea of what he has done. You just don't disappear from a man like Kastan, it will make him chase you. Can't wait for the next chapter. I suggest you stop working and take a leave of absence until this story is finished.

The wife may prove to be troublesome; we will have to see how it plays out. The muteness could prove beneficial; but suddenly speaking and being understood; might be a sign from the Gods of either a great gift or a curse. The time in which this takes place; anything unexpected could be a problem traced to one being blessed or cursed by the Gods.

The pacing did not seem as well done in this chapter. The dreams/visions seemed to throw it off to me. Interesting premise however; one would wonder how the natives will cope with him suddenly being able to understand and communicate with them.

Interesting start to the story; just enough information to keep you wanting more; well written and the pacing was good.

To the best of my knowledge; since DK stopped writing after all the issues with people complaining, he never wrote again. Trebs and I talked about it a few times, but he did not believe he ever would write again. After Trebs passed away, I never had contact with DK again... Truly miss his talent. Has anyone spoken to or had written communication from him since Trebs passed away?

Ever since the first time that I read this years ago; I always felt Corey was going to be a great character. Have to wonder what he would have turned out to be...

I am glad that a decision was made to post these last three chapters from this series. It was truly a loss when he stopped writing and then to lose Trebs… Well, it was just truly sad. To what might have been.

Lady Corin seems very interesting; but I am not sure about her as a consort. I have to admit it would have certain appeals but I think they each prefer their own. I hope that Eran has not been irreversible damaged; or to pissed off, whichever is the case. Chapter flowed really well; can't wait to see what happens next.

So even those thought to be slaves have been blessed with gifts that cannot be easily explained. Aster and Connor have discovered that they have a brother; have they fully realized what this means for them?

For all of his vaulted knowledge; Jihan obviously does not know that Kastan prefers men to women. Just because there was a marriage does not mean that his preference is for women.

Okay, what is the deal with the sister? Is there something else going on; why is everyone so worried about her being grabbed and taken? It seems like the area where they live is well protected.

Jihan saves Rashan but what does this portend for the future. Will the Duke remember when the time comes?

Adan and Roku need to come to a decision on what exactly their relationship is going to be and embrace it; then Adan can move forward with perhaps finding a consort, even if it is for just the sake of begetting a heir. I hope that Eran will continue to be the same with Adan, now that he knows he is the Prince, but I wonder with how he acted if that will be possible. It would be good for Adan to have someone that would accept him at face value. Adan hearing the petitions was strange. The first one was basic and Adan did okay. The second with Lady Corin seemed out of place. Really there was not enough information provided to explain what was going on fully. The way it was written ended the chapter in confusion at least for me. I can see all kinds of issues at the ball coming up...

Really a wonderful stand alone chapter; but it would have make a perfect much longer story. The books by Mercedes Lackey are among my favorite in this genre. This was well written and moved lovely.

So in the end, so to speak, patience and tenderness overcame a long history of abuse. This story was well written, but I wish there had been a little more history built into it in some way. The story flowed well, for the most part, and moved the characters forward in a way that felt natural and right. A little more character development might have been nice, or instead of the authors notes, maybe a more detailed information on who was in the book.

Sounds as if some work was done to remove some of the scar tissue in certain areas; so that maybe everything won't hurt during mating. This chapter flowed really well, it just seem to hum along perfectly.

For someone living in the weyr, F'rian doesn't seem to understand how it works very well. Maybe he kept himself too far apart from everything, but it seems like he would have picked up on some of it just being there long enough.

Coming together like that were it is not just physical but spiritual, emotional, mental can be an experience that you never forget. It can tie you to someone for the rest of your life.

Bullies should never be in a position of power, such an ass.

Although they are opening up with each other; and we now know what happened in the past, I think it will be hard for them.

So the initial issues occurred while he was a runner; I wonder if it was physical or verbal and emotional? I wish we had a way to peak back at what happened. The fact that no one except F'rian knows means that unless he talks, no one ever will.
