Well Jorge may not be all that and a bag of chips. Wade and Alex made the right decisionturns out in more way's than one. Stef didn't come across as really totally sincere to me either, to echo earlier comments. Will is turning into a bully and a slut, not sure which bothers me more. JJ's rant revealed much more than he meant to, I believe. For all his self-absorption, he came off more self aware and honest than either Will or Stef. I actually could see Elizabeth killing Wade under the right circumstances and if the pay-off was big enough, not necessarily talking money here. Can't wait for the meeting in Boston. Great chapter Mark, well done.

The problem is that Will likes to come across like he is so much more mature than JJ, but honestly he seems more immature to me. He is physical more mature so he seems to parlay that attribute into being a slut then acting as if that makes him more mature, it doesn't.

A truly delightful chapter; the punishment truly did fit the crime... The flow of this chapter was just amazing.

Yes it is; but might be understandable except; I truly think between the Duke, Nana, Elizabeth, et al., that they could have protected Alex and Mary Ellen's kids at least in the short term without anything like that being done. Plus the revelations about what Elizabeth did in the past, with Lord Preston's help; plus I am betting that part of the ransom that no one knew about was Lord Preston's life on top of the letter naming his other children illegitimate. I just think some people can do things that make them so unredeemable that death might truly be the only option, and Elizabeth might have reached that point.

Just when I think that perhaps Elizabeth Danfield can't sink any lower, she does... Wade handled what he could as well as anyone could possible imagine. Even if the kid is a total brat, do hope that Cameron is released unharmed. Maybe it is time for Elizabeth to have an unfortunate accident...

Great chapter, what a truly innovative idea from Granger with the floating bombs; luckily he has a crew that is able to understand his vision and help him attain it. Czar Paul was viewed by many as insane in the last years of his life but I personally don't believe this to be accurate. He was certainly capricious and after coming to power reversed his mother's position of armed conquest as a means to expand the Empire. He believed that a more defensive posture was called for and moved to implement it. His alliance with both Austria and Great Britain broke down more because of their actions and lack of action than his instability. He attempted to reform the nobility in Russia and the army as well. His moves to reform the army lead to a great deal of unrest and was probably the principal reason for his murder. While some argue that the British played a part in his assassination no proof of this exist. His son, Alexander I, at less silently sanctioned the removal of his father and did little to punish those responsible. HIs removal benefitted the British at the time but had many of his reforms been able to take hold; the later assassination of Nicholas the II and his family might well have been avoided.

Loved the conversation between Stef and Will; I thought that might be the issue with Stef but truly believe he will work it out. A lot seemed to get covered in this chapter; and seemed to set up even more in the future to look forward to. Sort of wanted to see the scene where Stef apologized to JJ, have a feeling that would have been funny. Good flow to this story since the pick up, but I can see rough seas ahead, perhaps...

Lord have mercy, I just loved this chapter. Just when I think it can't be any better it is, this truly was a delight. I really enjoyed the breakfast with JP, Stef, and Will. Plus loved how JP and Isidore handled the contremps at the end.

Well, I knew that Angus was not the ultimate bad guy; but did not see this outcome. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Luka seems to have impressed more than just JJ. I don't know that JJ is really ready for anything serious; and not sure that he is the kind of guy that can do casual well yet. But I do hope we see more of Luka. Worried about just Wade going to meet up with Alex without Matt. I just don't fully trust Alex; plus a little extra muscle can always be helpful. I know that Tony and Will are good sexually; but just not sure that they are in any other way in the long run; so not sure that it really is good for them to do the random thing either. Although I am glad that Will is pushing Tony to discuss his issues more fully and openly with Casey. I miss seeing more of JP; I realize as he has aged, his adventures just may not be as interesting as the third and fourth generations; but I truly do miss him. Plus, I have this fear that one day a character will just mention in passing that JP's passing was sad; much like what happened with Tonto... I miss Tonto too... Truly a wonderful chapter of several fronts; and it flowed quite seamlessly.

Glad to have an update; but sad about what has happened. I have never understood the idea of letting the one saboteur they know about stay free. Sorry, but I don't care if the General is the last adult left alive, he would not be taking any of the weapons off this base no matter what. I am going to have to go back and read the last few chapters again, I really feel that I missed something after reading this chapter.

WTH, is Maurice turned to stone or is it really just a statue? This little group needs to start moving.

Still team JJ on all of this; I personally don't think is actions were as bad as some family members seem to think. I do hope that maybe he and Carullo can reconnect a few years down the road; but I personally think that JJ is much more in a place to have a real relationship than Carullo. I think Carullo isn't facing his past and really doesn't appear to be doing anything to resolve the real issues in his life. Did love John's impersonation of Claire. Will and Jake's conversation was very telling from both sides. I really do want to know what is going on with Stef, it is obvious that something is.

The course of true love never runs smoothly or straight; but I think that all of them will manage to work it out. And look; perhaps a new relationship might be right around the corner.

Excellent new chapter, the words just flowed wonderfully. Can't wait to deal with Maurice, but the additional monsters so close worries me. Can't wait for the next update...

Sorry, I am totally team JJ on this one. I don't see any problem with getting the rest of the family involved in this; Stef is acting way out of bounds. Have to wonder if there is some issue with him that we are not aware of. Someone made a point that Carullo needed to get therapy and stop using the dead boyfriend as an excuse for everything; and I so agree that. Not sorry that Dillon is gone at all, he was interesting but just way to blasé about everything for Will to be involved with him. I do have to wonder who informed Zach that Will was seeing someone; since I don't think he and Dillon were even a real thing yet. Keep up the good work, so happy to have you back, Mark....

So glad to have another chapter of Granger's adventures, can't wait for the next one. I believe that Gustav IV was overthrown by a revolt after losing much of Finland in 1805 or 1806 to Russia. He was never a stable ruler. Your ability to weave history so well throughout your stories is a true wonder.

Mark, I cannot tell you how having you back has just made my whole summer so much better. The fact that you have been able to pick up and continue without the readers noticing any change, is truly a testament to your skill level. Dillon may be hot; but Will is not going to handle someone acting like he is at the moment. The conversation at the dinner table at Escorial was so well done; loved how everyone handled their points of view. I don't care how much money you have or how hot you still are; at a certain point someone Stef's age acting 25 just doesn't work for anyone. Carullo and JJ had such a good conversation and seemed to be at least trying to understand each other's points of view; then Carullo blows it big time. Totally team JJ on this one; I would have gone to the kitchen filled a huge pitcher with ice and water and dumped it on several peoples asses. I honestly think JJ handled it just about perfectly.
