  1. Oh, I feel that we should all join hands metaphorically and do a rendition of Kumbaya and We Shall Overcome to celebrate Will and Jeremy's dinner. Brad is just so intense, that nurse is lucky they still have a job. Love how the story maybe more than even who Brad is helped the Director understand how important it was to Brad that Will have a bed in with Travis during his recovery. I don't know why Jake is surprised that Will can understand him, they are both volatile people. LOL. No really, Jake is pretty much what you see is what you get, while I think Jake can be sneaky or underhanded when needed, he is pretty much here I am deal with it.
  2. If you have never lived in a small town, you just have no idea of what it is like. People know you and everything you ever thought about doing in general. Even if you go off to college and just come back periodically, they still seem to know all. Tony and Aaron seem to be connecting on a number of levels. I know Aaron survived a lot and seems to be doing well, but Tony seems to be the stronger one right now, just seems to have more innate self confidence. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  3. Youthful revelations from several directions, perhaps the torture is pushing their minds to retreat into something familiar.
  4. All the works were unique and outstanding in their own ways. Loved them all.
  5. Zorro finds out who Porthos is and was; unsurprisingly this does change his attitude toward him. It truly is a never-ending cycle. When one group is defeated, they turn on those they consider the enemy and then when the other group comes back into power it starts over.
  6. With about forty percent of the country gone, I don't know what the ratings will be like, but I would think this was must watch TV. All of these people come off well in this, of course, someone will bitch about something they did after the fact. I do hope that George, Lionel, and Larry get to stay together. They have bonded through this, of course, if there are relatives out there, they would have more of a legal right to custody for Lionel and Larry, but I would think the chances are most of their family lived within the affected areas. So glad that George got to find out that his dad is still alive.
  7. Can't wait to find time to get to this one.
  8. A lovely chapter, Vince and Peter made connections on several levels and moved forward on a few. Vince realized that Graham was right, but he also needs to move at his own pace, with taking what Peter wants into account. Graham, Matt, and Freddie had a good time and all got along well. Can't wait for the weekend part next time, sounds like a delight.
  9. Will the Prince try to join another group? He isn't going to be either safe or do much damage with such a small group of men. Etienne suffered in his youth, but now he willingly goes into danger for someone he truly cares about. An interesting and varied band of travelers.
  10. We can all hope that if the other three were nearby that they heard the shots and fled. Perhaps Matthew has a gun in the shop, I know that Dante had to leave him to make sure Mistress Alice was okay, but don't like anyone being left alone in a circumstance like that. Frank realized that he was wrong in how he treated Dante; but Dante also realized that he cares more for Frank than he perhaps realized. I wonder how Frank will react to Mistress Alice taking Dante to Denser's Port. More than a little shocked at Blaise and his attempted whatever it was with Dante. I would not have thought that was a smart move on his part, not that Dante will ever say anything. Dante did what had to be done, but this will not be easy on him.
  11. Oh, I thought it was well written, just seemed very whiplash to me, first one direction, then another. The menace was there and suitably moody but just didn't flow as well as the last few chapters to me. You need to write your story in your way. I just felt it was a little choppy in this chapter.
  12. Tony and Aaron have so much history. The quick release was something both wanted and maybe needed to see if that spark was still there. Mrs. Hamilton is just one of many that are excited to see the two inching back towards being together again. They both know they have things to figure out, but every step forward brings them closer to what they both want and need.
  13. This whole chapter just felt off. The flow from the last couple of chapters was missing. Not sure why, just felt very uneven. Zorro as the protagonist will have to live, but how damaged will he be when someone figures out the mistake. Starting to think the herbivores were right.
  14. Thanks for highlighting these amazing stories.

    Chapter 41

Well, that is about as short and bloodless of a war as you can get. That ship with the defensive shields is going to be a money maker... Marc has shown once again, do not mess with him, his family, or his House. So happy for Mike and Taylor, Marc and Adam do love them and will do everything they can to help them. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  16. I truly doubt that Zorro's wish will come true. Smith is already currying favor with those in power, and I could see him being at the tournament. Death by fire is truly a horrible way to die. A crowd can be easily led into idiocy, just look around us today.
  17. Have no doubt that a dash for power by any surviving members of Congress would be going on. Most people don't realize how much of the military structure is out of Washington. And I can promise you they are watching everyone; the militaries first thought was probably that it was from outside not something we managed to do to ourselves. Glad that someone was willing to help get some supplies to the survivors, and when Best Western gets blasted during the interview, they will have wished it was them. Have no doubt that people are total pigs. The property isn't theirs, so they expect someone else to pick up after them. If they can't clean up after themselves, then let them live in their own filth. You would have thought that watching what happened would have made anyone think twice before trying to bioengineer something with a virus, but never underestimate the stupidity of the average human. And I swear the higher up in authority they are, the less common sense they seem to have.

    Wedding

This is what anyone with a lick of sense would hope their wedding day would be like. Would save a ton of money and be much less stressful all the way around. Love everyone's reaction to the paintings, a bit surprised by Val and Marina and their thoughts of perhaps getting one done. Everything went off without a hitch, no last-minute snafus and no tears and tribulations. A good mix of people and a good time had by all. Now, on to the honeymoon.
  19. Mezenga is dying or at least very ill. And he is trying to either stay alive or rejuvenate himself by the use of black magic or forbidden magic. Luka loves Devin but is terrified that if he acts on it and something happens, Devin will not be there when it is over. He would rather have Devin in his life platonically and never risk anything; then risk taking him to bed and loving him because of the fear of losing him from his life. There is a very old movie called " The Legacy " with Katherine Ross and Sam Elliot. it was from the late 70"s. I so get the similar vibe from this story as I did from that movie.
  20. Tony and Aaron seem to be moving back into each other's orbits. Honestly, sort of surprised that there have been no one else for either of them during the time they were apart. At their age, that seems to signal the depth of their feelings for each other. I still how the house/property will end up playing a pivotal role at some point. What a sad story, the woman, obviously a recluse, died and no one in her life cared enough to check on her. Then the next owner just disappeared. If there is no proof of his death, then getting a clear title form his relatives could prove more than tricky,
  21. Etienne found true comfort with Tom aboard ship, and Tom maybe more so in him. I doubt they will ever meet again, too much difference in position, and hate to say it, but the life expectancy of a English sailor of that time was not great. Henry thought his position gave him cover, but he found it did not. But I am sure that Henry knows and blames Etienne, and he will always be his enemy.
  22. Okay, we need a little background on the players here and what the war was or is about. Zorro seems torn, not sure which way to move or how to act. Let's hope he picks the right direction. Dominance is not always about size, depending on the situation, many things can determine who the dominate individual is.
  23. Woo Hoo, another seven for seven on the words for the week. Want to take a moment to hope that anyone that hasn't read the 2025 Poetry Anthology take a little bit and do so: some truly remarkable offerings from some talented writers.

    Chapter 40

Why would this corporation risk everything to go after an entity that they know has superior resources. Unless, of course, they are being back or encouraged by a group that they believe will prove to have equal resources. Marc will do what is needed to protect Adam, the children, the House, and the family. All hell is literally about to break out.
