  1. Yeah, I'm still saying to myself "He's gonna die." not to get too attached to this character... Moreover, he's going to war, there surely will be some scary moments described in his diary - before the writing stops abruptly... BUT! There's many US military cemeteries in France, once they are in Paris, they can make an effort to find his grave... I don't think I remember Steven's body being transported back to the US although he might have had a "fake" funeral in Claremont.
  2. you're all just meanies! I'm working on it and plan to finish it tomorrow. Ehrm, I mean today. Siiigh, it's Tuesday already.
  3. I don't put smileys into my papers, not yet. But I'm guilty of over-using them. That is why there's no smiley in this whole post. Damn!
  4. This strategy remind sme why many gays know the Bible better than any average bigot!
  5. Yeah, I had a course about communism and fascism at my school and I've read the interesting bits of Mein Kampf, Lenin's papers and some other books plus the manifestos are sort of required readings in the political ideologies course...
  6. And the award for the most archaeologic dug-out goes to... TIGER!
  7. I hate my works. I have to write an article on a topic I'm doing my research, it's based on my Master thesis that was highly praised, I have all the good cards in my hands but I still can't get myself to finish it. I gave myself a deadline for today to help it. But I can't even look at it, nor read it, or even more, fill in the last blank places.
  8. Well... I watched the pilot and the second episode... this series is full of embarrassing moments... I'm not that much comfortable in this kind of humor On a similar topic, I loved "It's all relative" sitcom, where the girl raised by a gay couple is already grown-up... but I still have to be caught by this one - or just leave it. OK, I know who's irritating me on the whole series. It's Phil. I can't stand his "bro-dad" parenting, he's making an ass of himself and everyone probably laughs at him but I can't help but he annoys me. On the other hand, I LOVE Gloria!
  9. So... how's the revising CAP going on?
  10. Desireless - Voyage, voyage [url=" I'm not sure to what story to put this... it has to be Man in Motion or later, as this song is from 1985. It reminds me of Stef and what voyages he could do with all his money but he never did (or we don't know about it). English lyrics: Above the ancient volcanoes, Wings gliding through the ruffling flags of the wind, Voyage, voyage, Eternally. From clouds in swamps, From the Spanish wind to the equatorial rain, Voyage, voyage, Fly in the highlands Above the capitals, Look upon the ocean… Voyage, voyage Farther than night and day, (voyage, voyage) Voyage (voyage) In the incredible feelings of love. Voyage, voyage Upon the holy water of an Indian river, (voyage voyage) Voyage (voyage) And never come back. On the Ganges or the Amazon, With Blacks, with Sikhs, with Asians Voyage, voyage In the whole kingdom. Upon the dunes of the Sahara, From the Islands of Fiji to Fujiyama, Voyage, voyage, Don’t stop. Above the barbed wire fences, Stricken hearts Look upon the ocean. Voyage, voyage Farther than night and day, (voyage, voyage) Voyage (voyage) In the incredible feelings of love. Voyage, voyage Upon the holy water of an Indian river, (voyage voyage) Voyage (voyage) And never come back. Above the capitals, Deathly ideas Look upon the ocean. Voyage, voyage Farther than night and day, (voyage, voyage) Voyage (voyage) In the incredible feelings of love. Voyage, voyage Upon the holy water of an Indian river, (voyage voyage) Voyage (voyage) And never come back.

  17. Marvellous choice of cities! I'm living at a place half way between Budapest and Prague, so if you're moving between them by train, you'll stop at my city. For tips, well I don't know how old are you, so I can't be more specific. But I have a very good experience with booking accommodation via www.limba.com (I already set it on Budapest, English lang. and dollars. I think you can find accommodation in Prague and Berlin via this site too - Home Page of Limba.com). We didn't stay over night in Budapest though, so I can't recommend any hotel / hostel in Budapest personally. But I can guarantee you that you'll find a good accommodation for an affordable price at this site. I'd also like to add some tips for restaurants. When we visited Budapest, we went to this restaurant called "Fatal". It doesn't have anything with death although their portions of food served are ridiculously large and some people may think they're going to die after eating everything. But in Hungarian "Fatal" means "on the plank" on which the plates are served. BUT as a show of traditional Hungarian cuisine it's absolutely phenomenal! The restaurant is right in the centre of Pest,
  18. http://www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/article/761498--brian-burke-s-son-brendan-killed-in-car-crash?bn=1 I think it was Mark Arbour who posted here some time ago an article about Brendan Burke's coming out to his Dad and sort of in the whole NHL industry. There were many hopes that he will become a success story that would give support to other gays hiding in the professional "macho" sports like ice-hockey. Honour his memory.
  19. You need to add one nit-picking reader in your jury!
