I have to agree with the comments here, I was totally addicted to this story from the first chapter. I never knew that sort of thing went on in the Royal Navy!
Superb story Mark, will look out for the sequel with anticipation.
I've never written a cliffhanger in my life.......well, with the exception of the last 3 chapters!
To be honest, as a reader I love them, it keeps you wanting more. As a writer, I want to keep the readers hooked.
As to what constitutes as a cliffhanger, I feel it's a dramatic or unexpected end to a chapter. Yeah, you create certain mystery in a chapter, but nothing beats a dramatic end.
CJ is the king of cliffhangers, long may it continue.
Going by some of the threads on the MSN forum, you're not alone. There does seem to be a problem with Windows 7 and some Vista built machines! The problems just keep on coming for Microsoft; I can just imagine service pack 1 being released 2 months after Win 7's official launch. One day they might just get it right!!!
Well, I will reserve judgment until I can put it on freeze frame on DVD, but from where I was sitting it certainly didn't look like padding! He is a hottie.
Voyager only really got good after season 3, when they brought the Borg and 7 of 9 into it. Stroke of genius if you ask me. Turned it into one of the best series.
Interesting article, be very fasinating to see where this goes. As usual the bible thumpers stick their nose in, but we should really expect that I suppose. I can't really see two Democrat houses overturning this, at least I hope not!
I have to totally disagree. I love this show, & from the audience figures a lot of other people do as well. That could be the reason why it's still running! That said, when Simon's contract is up in a couple of seasons, then it'll be interesting to see what happens.
