They look good to me too. Any word on who did them?

Life in the 21st century is too full of surprises to guess when anyone finds a life mate and settles down. Circa 2011 is 10 years in the future in the CAP universe and I'd rather speculate about the next few months than a far distant future. So again my questions are more like, will Will and family go to Hawaii for Thanksgiving and will it still be cool between him and his island hottie? Or how does the whole thing with Maddie shake out, or even does Brad have another explosion of grief after the memorial for Robbie that freaks everyone out? Wade still has to face his mother over his father's memorial and Elizabeth is not known to be kind, gentle or agreeable. I think Mark has left us with a target rich environment and he can pick and choose any of them as he spins out the rest of this segment of the family saga.

ALCS is now set. The Tigers completed their comeback over the Oakland A's and advance to the ALCS against the Boston Red Sox. I just love October ball!

Your chapter title had me spooked! Going back to the folks and his sister is the right thing to do. Coming back home to the ranch is too. So thanks for this chapter, but I look forward to the real homecoming!

And of course Missouri got BASEBALL. -
CARDS win the Division Series and face the LA Dodgers on Friday at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Pittsburgh played us tough and took a 2-1 series advantage before we tied it Tuesday at PNC Park with the young pitching phenom Wacha. Tonight Wainwright and home field advantage were too much again.

Trust Will to end up with the hot, hung Italian gentle big guy. The coincidences in the story with Joey being the firefighter Will saw in the Tower seem improbable, but it really is a small world and those kinds of things really do happen. The FDNY had horrific losses and I suspect nearly everyone who survived in that organization knew several comrades who died that day. The plan Cody outlined to Will for Maddie shows he does care and does have her interests at heart. However, I think he will have to sell it to Isidore. Frank not so much. Of course Isidore is in her sixties or very nearly there as I recall and keeping up with an infant, then a toddler etc at her age does mean that nannies will be involved. Tiffany and Riley being in the picture would be a real plus.

I think JJ being involved in skating keeps him busy and focused on that. It is an elitist sport, not a team sport and accusing him of being an elitist would be a compliment in his outlook. Performing in front of crowds who are just waiting for you to make a mistake or take a fall also may have something to do with his ability to tune out others and keep to himself. All in all, I think the picture that Mark has drawn of JJ is fairly consistent for the life he is leading. He doesn't want to get involved in all of Will's drama as he figures he has plenty in his own life.

I don't know about a stroll, but if roboManning keeps up he will rewrite the record books.

Day by day keep up the good fight. It's never easy, but it's clear you would rather be you than the product of addicting chemicals. Congrats!

Glad to see you enjoying now, because as you noted it passes quickly!

Your story has me hooked. I'm looking forward to seeing how they deal with their troubled spirit. Alas it seems they cannot fully escape the bigots as now we've also heard about Dirk the Jerk. I wonder if his father was behind the demise of our troubled spirit?

I looked up the family name Markey and you did not take poetic license, as it actually does mean horseman. I loved this chapter. Now he just has to face his family in jolly old.....

Even after all of the Beatles generation has passed on to the great concert in the sky, the record books will still be around. I can't say I loved all of their work and they were not as great a rock band as the Rolling Stones, but they have some great songs in their catalogue including "Yesterday," "Let it Be," "Eleanor Rigby," "We can work it out", "Help" and more. While the Stones were more known as rockers, the Beatles did have better ballads and as someone else mentioned used non-standard instruments and not just guitars and drums and piano. Having lived through it all, it was really an English invasion.

I see Jeremy previously picked up on JJ's comparing Will to Matt. In the stages of grief, Brad is vacillating because he is having a hard time processing it all and I would expect that to continue for some time well beyond Robbie's memorial. His relationship with Robbie was complicated on several levels and they both fed each other's insecurities and also some of their strengths. I think you can safely agree, they each motivated the other, and not always in good ways. Cody and Maddie are an ongoing intrigue which perhaps will get sorted sooner rather than later? Does Brad really see himself as nearly 40? Is the loss of Robbie going to produce another mid-life crises? Does Will find a bay based boyfriend? Enquiring minds want to know..

I too loved the different POV's including JJ who I think made a fairly astute observation that perhaps Mark thinks is important. “Maybe we should have gotten our own car,” John said, flirting with Will. Will was such a sucker for a handsome guy who would play around with him, or act like he wanted to. I thought it was hilarious that Will didn’t seem all that close to Matt, since the two of them were so much alike in that regard. It showed that JJ is not as shallow as some may have thought, nor as strong as he pretends to be. The memorial for Jeanine and Hank succeeded in bringing home to the survivors the finality and magnitude of their loss and was well written. Will's reaction to the algebra teacher's explanation of his own grief and perhaps projected survivor guilt was well done as well. Brad's musings are the most conflicted and seem to indicate he has a long way to go in processing it. Cody seems to have had some discussion with Brad and his assertion that he was the father certainly put the less than enlightened grandparents in their place. Brad's asking Will to back off and trust him about Cody was indicative and I hope it means there will be a relatively peaceful resolution of Maddie's status.

Winkler and Jacobs sussed out they were in danger and just made it to George's Portland Place home in time where Caroline took charge of the situation. I suspect that her foray into the Admiralty and dressing down of Lord Spencer in public has ramifications that are yet to be felt by George on a personal level as well as professional. Is there a desk job in his future? Despite the fall semester crush, here's hoping our esteemed serial authors finds his Charles Dickens like stride and returns to it post haste!

Happy Birthday! Sorry I'm late but my MLB Cardinals lost today and I didn't check things out very well.
