Aha! My post #800 in the Odyssey forum speculated that Granger might not miss the action in the Med and now it looks like he will be in the center of it. Well done Mr. Arbour! Our hero seems to really fall into adventure and it makes your stories even more compelling.

If we accept the fact that it is really difficult to get emancipated as a teenager and that Will managed to do so, then I think we have to accept the fact that he can and will act independently. The people he idolizes have a sex room and he was alright with that. That he should copy them is not so far fetched nor outrageous given his sexually liberal upbringing. That Brad told Jeanine with the expectation that she would confront Will about it was the real bridge to far for Will. I think JP has the right sense of it all and that Brad's "do as I say not as I do" attitude has gone on long enough. How many epiphanies does he have to have before he gets it? I expect it will play out just as Mr. Arbour wants it to. I frankly was more amazed that Robbie gets it more than Brad. It's still the end of July and a lot seems to be going to happen before 9/11 gets here. I can't wait to see what surprises our author plans for the next chapter.

Isadore and Frank can make it official. CA has community property laws but I would assume there is a pre-nup but I don't recall it ever being mentioned. As far as some scheme, I think the Bastille Day party which was such a big deal and JP banning her from it really was the straw that broke the camel's back. Will's anger at his dad is the same old battle he has been fighting for the past year. It's worse this time because Brad told Jeanine about the bondage room as a way to get at Will. What was Brad thinking? Jeanine is certainly not in such a stable place as to be goaded by such things and a confrontation with Will would not do her any good. Will's handling of it was masterful and served to let Brad know that he was in deep sh_t. Poor Kai and Will. Long distance romance is difficult at best.

Glad to get an increase in the number of likes. But I guess I have to read more of the new author stuff and like it so that the new authors can get through moderation. I just read: Save Tonight by CassieQ, Book 1 of Summer Premium Anthology And I want everyone to know that this story is wonderful. I heartily recommend it to everyone. If you have premium be sure to put it on your reading list. If you don't have premium, it's another reason why you ought to get it.

You mean old like JP and Stef? I doubt that Travers' dad is as old as JP.

While Granger is collecting intelligence on the French fleet, escaping Egypt on an American merchant ship captained by his dead first love's father, I wonder what the British fleet is doing? Perchance George doesn't miss the action after all and is the last one to return to jolly old England after all?

Well WOW! Great chapter with a really interesting and surprising ending. Granger's world is full of coincidences which make the story all the more exciting. Great job as usual! Can't wait for the next chapter and I just hope it isn't one that breaks away to one of George's ships enroute to England.....(instead of continuing on with the meeting with Travers Sr.).

The Roman Catholic Church will also ban such marriages in their churches without question. However, Zombie's opinions above that for centuries Christianity had no interest in marriage is in my opinion, hyperbole. Poor George and Winkler on a smelly camel in the desert heat wearing face paint and heavy clothes and a veil. The idealized pic of the desert sheik was very alluring. Too bad it's hot and miserable. The maps were appreciated. Not the kind of journey that I would want to take. I'd feel a little unsafe too with the unruly band that is accompanying them, Thank heavens for Jardine and Jacobs following. As usual a very good chapter and I anxiously await more, please!.

I hope to read about Stef actually celebrating a 68th birthday. Remember 70 is the new 50......(says a guy who will be 66 in a couple of months.)

That Kai remains evasive about his early evenings is tantalizing Will. He will pursue it and I expect Mark will reveal it when we least expect it. Stef gets to decorate, finish and furnish a whole house. Brad gets to surf with Will and Kai which sounds idyllic. And 9/11 is still almost two months away. More please!

ESPN mentions a current quad strain, the broken ankle was how he missed 91 games up until this week.

I find that Miles Long summed up my reaction to the chapter as well as I could. I also expectantly await more!

Will's opinion of Kai is a bit naive and Brad's and Stef's opinion appears too cynical. Perhaps a bit more research is in order and I suspect Will doing just that, personally. I read through the chapter much too fast and of course I shall have to re-read it. Thanks again for the story!

After the year he had last year coming so close in the Championships, then winning the Gold in the Olympics then winning the Championships this year has to have tennis buffs in the UK delirious with joy. Congrats to a determined, gritty, keep on trying guy!

With your Birthday being buried on the calendar page, I thought it wasn't fair to miss out on congratulating you on your last birthday before the big 4-0! Happy Birthday!

Granger is a gentleman and as noted previously he had put his grief and remorse into perspective some time before and was able to think of Travers with a smile. So I think it is probable that he in the end forgives Jardines. But like many. he will not forget! I don't think it is in Granger's power to get Jardines back to England. But assuredly it is in the power of Mr. Arbour but would that accomplish anything to further the plot?

Thanks for the story and the wonderful way you managed to give us a happy ending after what seemed a certain catastrophe!

A storm with a storm of emotions brilliantly portrayed. I suspect Granger will take some time to digest it all but that his ruling out the duel means he will not harm Jardines in any way if he can help it.

The latest chapter is a primer on what's going on in the mind of Will and how he is processing his experiences. It provides insight into how Will is maturing and relating his experiences. The bit with the shrink turning the recent situation with Tony back to the earlier confrontation where his nose got bopped was a minor ah-ha moment despite Will's seeming to blow it off.

A lot of processing for Will and also for Robbie. Good job laying it all out. And without it becoming stilted or pure psychobabble. Robbie and Will seem to be in a better place and back to looking out for each other. Thanks for the 4th of July present! As usual!
