A bridge chapter, and yes I can foresee some bad news in the offing.

Wow they went into the counseling session to work on Kris' issues which seemed to help, but then it became JJ's big epiphany that Brad wasn't his bio dad. JJ as usual assumed it was all a plot to keep it from him. His misplaced anger at Will and the insult were childish. Will's delayed comeback made great theater but it was gratuitous. Somehow I expect Kris will be central to calming JJ down. Another engaging chapter despite smarmy!

Kris' world was upended and the news about his mother piled the crap even higher. JJ actually handled it better than expected. Hopefully Kris will adopt the plan for going forward. I'm hoping the next chapter drops soon!

Presentation to Their Majesties
Daddydavek commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Presentation to Their Majesties
I think George's luck has recently been impressive, including having a good friend in Calvert to counsel him about Caroline. His children have been a delight. And they had great sailing weather to convey the royal family to London. Why do I expect clouds on the horizon?- 17 comments

I think Brad will tell Jake the story of why he wanted the school torn down and perhaps even credit Will's insight. Kris is a really good guy and I hope he and JJ make it for at least a while, but nothing is certain. The meeting on the morrow could definitely cause an implosion. In four years Will and Travis will be different because of their life experiences. Hopefully they will remain connected enough to see through to their goal, but it certainly is no sure bet. And I note that in 2008 Lehman Bros. declared bankruptcy and the Great Recession ensued...

Brilliant as usual! Carmella provided a show stopper enjoyed by their majesties and the fleet. George got to show off his island getaway and got to spend some time with Calvert. Then he ingeniously arranged for a couple of frigates to escort his ship with the royal family to London. Bravo!

JJ's ability to support Kris may be in danger, but we still are not completely sure what Kris knows about his past and if there is a Nazi connection, is it the main one and does it jeopardize his noble claims? Will and Travis are cute, but making such commitments about the future may involve some wishful thinking. Claire, Luke and where does that leave Jack? I think everyone comes out of this weekend more changed than they enter it....

I'm guessing you knew "turpitude".

Plans are proceeding almost better than expected. The "pigheaded" princess appears to have seen the light, and Francis is knighted and made an equerries. What could go wrong?

California, Here We Come.
Daddydavek commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in California, Here We Come.
Luke played the charming man quite well and even got John involved. JJ has definitely forgotten some of the advice he got from his psychiatrist and is so nervous over the family meeting he just might screw up his chance with Kris. JJ is right about one thing, Will leaving Travis for Boston is going to negatively affect Will.- 31 comments

An interesting story told well. Life is portrayed with highs and lows, luck, adversity, and plenty of hard work as well. -
Things are progressing nicely; why do I expect another bump in the road?

I think there a couple of pieces of the puzzle about Kris that we haven't learned yet. If Jake's investigators were able to find all this out, why haven't the lawyers arguing over the estate in Germany been able to piece this together? Kris has the signet and there is much background information we must await for Mr. Arbour to develop. As far as burying the report and continuing the pose as a German noble, it may be the best option. Hmmm, I wonder if Brad will wonder if JJ has to be told, and if so to check with JJ's psychiatrist.

malapropism - Word of the Day - Sun May 19, 2024

Rodney Dangerfield was great at delivering them. -
While Jack can only see things from his perspective, his family is being more thoughtful and beginning to take his perspective into consideration... Grand is really taking Travis into his corner. Will isn't convinced being nice to JJ is always worth it. Brad has probably already sent a text to his pilot to check with JJ for the visit out west...

Poor Calvert he did the honorable thing and rescued the drowning princess and now he must endure the backlash! Poor George, he has to endure the physical sexual torture of a threesome with incredible bodies. Poor Mark he had to write another sexually explicit chapter, he must be nearly fully recovered!

After some twenty years of marriage, you would think Jack knew Claire better. Brad having to point out the obvious demonstrates how compartmentalized Jack is. And yes, unless he has an epiphany, Jack will be out. JJ has an insightful therapist and he listened to her.

What a great wrap-up! The Prime Minister was masterful. The call for a secret conscience vote was inspired. Thanks!

Brad's conversation with Claire provided her some insight. JJ lets his family insecurities ruin his evening and worse offended Kris. Clearly he has issues that require some work. Maybe Mark's end of semester will mean it's time for the freshman year to begin!

An interesting start...their skill raised questions but I'm expecting they'll soldier on.

Calvert's reputation is saved and his new duties could be a good source of info regarding what's going on behind the scenes at court. Hopefully the king is appreciative of the singer and George scores some more points. Peace seems at hand which always means the Navy will be down sized...
