I never understood the attraction of cults. Or cliques... But there is ample evidence that others are quite comfortable and even devoted to them. These two young rebels have figured out that to survive they needed to beat feet and it appears they succeeded. I hope the journey wasn't too perilous. Only Ivor knows!
CJ definitely has an agenda! Seeking info and experience and using his wealth to further just causes shows his determination to make a positive difference. Having a talented and full partner in Owen is a major plus as they establish their family.
Can't wait for the next installment!
Libby took a ten year hiatus from posting a story on site. Life got in the way! Great Restorations is a testament to her talent and craft. Well done and highly recommended!
"the tension drained from his body that had been wound tighter than a girdle on a Baptist's minister's wife at an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast!"
That line made me laugh out loud!
A short chapter with a bit of a cliff hanger. More please!
Everything is coming together, including support from the king and yet the will and the reactions of father and brother to it remain. May the hiatus be short and the inspiration be great to hasten the next chapter...
Having parents who never could do right for Marc being too involved in their own life, Marc decided to do right for them. The irony and statement it made was priceless making the comparison compelling. Thanks Libby for showing us what true class looks like. I agree with the rest of the comments regarding the the rest of your characters. Enough for another book or three!
The intimate duo keeps trying to believe they are just friends. The birthday party could go from triumph to terrible and I suspect our author enjoys the razor's edge. A bonus posting would be very well received!
I loved the scene where CJ very deliberately described why when told he was being rude! And yes I don't think he will have a problem with late enrollment.
Well it looks like Marc fell into it and came out ok! Now I have to wait for the confrontation with the parental units. I wonder if Libby will be able to cram in the final restoration of Sawyer's house and just where the happy couple will live as it seems they have a choice of 3 houses....Then there's the restoration that Bruce wants to do to....Another Book or two perhaps?
Not the way I expected their first time, but their desire could not be denied. Perhaps now they can get to work and sort through the papers and find the will. Although I doubt it's in one of the dusty boxes..
