Of course you would end up in the Purple section! I am so happy for the both of you, that you got to experience this. I was thinking of you as I watched on TV from the gym today.

We had a great time meeting everyone as well.The Other Joe says he hopes he didn't annoy or offend anyone with his talkativeness, and he thinks you are all a fantastic bunch of people. (And thanks for the compliment, Dan!) I'm disappointed I missed the jewelry shopping! Robert, those pendants are gorgeous, and I'd noticed the pretty chain earlier. Sharon, I think it's safe to say only the men were tall, because I'm barely 5'3" myself. But yeah, a lot of people were taller than I imagined, too. Dan and LittleBuddha were cute checking out the guys, although I usually couldn't figure out who they were looking at. I think their type is a bit younger and, um, more masculine than my type. (Army uniforms don't do it for me!) So, we're home now, but after shivering all through lunch, we were looking forward to our nice, warm house, only to discover the heat was broken, and it was only 54 degrees inside. It's fixed now, but it was a cold night.

While I'm not surprised he's gay, I *am* surprised he decided to acknowledge it. I always thought he was in denial. Turns out he actually came out to his mother a few years earlier.

I'm glad it's going well for you and they're going to let you out of there soon! I've been running to my computer first thing every morning for updates. Dan was going to bring you something from me, but now it looks like you'll probably be home before it gets there, anyway. I can see you're just as popular in EQ2 as you were in TSO.

I can see the new one. I'm not sure why you're still seeing the old one.

I changed mine to the tango scene from the movie Valentino, with Rudolf Nureyev as Valentino, and Anthony Dowell as Nijinsky.

Pre-Internet, I was very much into letter writing. I remember when I had as many as 50 pen pals at one time. We had these chain booklets called "FB's" (Friendship Booklets) we used to sign and pass on, and if there was anyone who sounded interesting, you could write and see if you got a response. Eventually, I lost touch with everyone as I got more into emailing and chat instead. I've looked for some of my old friends, but most of them have probably since gotten married and don't have the same names anymore.

I don't even know what manga or anime this pic is from, or who these characters are. I just thought it was hot.

Sono Luminus the title of an Erasure song. I use this name for NaNoWriMo, but elsewhere, it isn't me. Someone else uses it on the Erasure forums. And I knew Trebs way back when he was Trebor and I was known as Julian.

I enjoyed that one and also the Snow Garden. I have Light Before Day, but haven't read it yet. I hear his style has changed a lot since the first two books, and I'm not sure I'll like the newer stuff.
