Curved Balls By Nephylim JOE’S BLOG: APRIL 24 2008: 23.50 Oh man, being single sucks. It’s now been 9 months 12 days and 14 hours since Bobbie moved out and the house still feel so damned empty. Actually, I have been thinking that maybe it’s time for a move. I have always felt the house is too big for me. I should have sold it right after Mum and Dad died but I wasn’t in a place then where I could bear to let it go. It held so many memories, it still does, but now
  4. When life keeps throwing you those curved balls what can you do but hit them back as hard as you can and hope you score a home run.
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
  6. That is a truly remarkable piece of work in style, content and presentation. The arguements are clear and well thought out and very persuasive. It gets an 'A' from me

  8. Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace by Nephylim “To some death comes as an Angel of Mercy, to release them from suffering, to ease them into the last long sleep. Often, after illness it is said that death comes as ‘a blessing’. But, in the end death always comes as a thief in the night; unexpected, unwanted, unwelcomed.” The minister looked out over the sea of faces. The Chapel of Rest was full to bursting and, raising his eyes further he could see that out in the courtyard there were mor
  9. David 'Dai' Davies' funeral is unusual. It all seems to be connected with the strange boy in the courtyard, the boy that everyone strains to avoid, that the family spurn and everyone is whispering about. Who is he and what has he done to have everyone reject him so bitterly?
  10. I really really really hope that I will be that grandma to my grandkids. I also hope I will live to be 90 and still be able to. Kudos to a real proper Grandma
  11. Considering Rey is underage I was being a responsible adult... If you note I suggested the possibility of brandy flavouring Your way is, of course much much better That would be the punch then Have a fabulous holiday hun and tell us all about it afterwards
  12. LDR's really really really really suck. Especially when they are totally LDR with no physical contact at all, at least not for a very long time.
  13. I am SO going to try that I really am going to have to come round for the holidays at some point. You are a kitchen goddess As for me Rey... fun fun fun. Decorate the house to within and inch of its life... I love real greenery... holly, ivy, mistletoe. but we have shed loads of home made paper chains this year and a pink feather Xmas tree. Home made gifts are awesome. Try hand made chocolates. I don't know if you can get them there but here you can get tiny little cake cases. Here are some recipes. * take one glace, or fresh stoned cherry (but they don't last so long, you pretty much have to eat them straight away) and dip in melted chocolate. * take some crushed biscuit crumbs and divide them into 3. One third put in a couple of drops (or more) of brandy (or brandy flavouring) and mix with melted chocolate until it binds. Roll into little balls and then roll in vermicelli * take one third and add finely chopped nuts then mix in melted chocolte as above. Roll in chopped nuts. * As above but using white chocolate, fruit flavouring (peach strawberry or raspberry) dip in chocolate, dark or light. * mix marzipan with flavourings and/or colourings (you can get food colourings and flavourings in baking shops here) vanilla is nice... then roll into balls and dip in chocolate. If you are not so fond of chocolate you can chop up little bits of fruit (have to be quite firm fruit like cherries or slitly under ripe strawberries) mix with the marsipan, roll into balls and dust with sugar, vermicelli or anything you can think of that tastes nice and you can roll things in Have fun

  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
  17. That made me shiver. Wierdly I'm writing a story that starts on the streets like this. It's an image that I think we, as a socitey are getting immune to. It's so sad. And it's surprisingly easy to get there. There but the grace of god go all of us.
  18. I'm totally crap at saying 'no', the world's worse but in this case I really think you should. What's wrong with saying... I've listened to everything you've said and I really appreciate it but its really not for me. If they persist ask them what is it about the word no they don't understand. You can say that you have exams coming soon and you really can't give them the time. Or you could tell your parents and get them to send these guys packing with a flea in their ear. If these people are friends then they wouldn't pressure you and if they're not friends you're better off without them and what the hell does their opinion matter anyway.
  19. Absof**kalutely (am I allowed to say that)
  20. I agree with soup, overinflated egos sometimes burst and that really ain't pretty Not like you

  22. The Faery Queen is itching for an excuse to go to war with the Demon Queen. When the Demon Queen gives her the perfect excuse the war is on. However, its outcome is not what either of them could have imagined.
  23. The Demon Queen and the Faery Prince By Nephylim The cell was cold and dark and decidedly damp. It was hewn out of the rock of the mountain and the walls were rough and, in places running with water. It gathered in a channel that ran though the middle of the cave, providing the many occupants their only water supply. Sometimes, if the Queen had been blending potions and thrown the effluent into the lake, or had been expending unusual amounts of dark magic over the water, it became
