  1. Nope... I think the Sumerians did... certainly the Egyptians had plenty
  2. Well, I watched it from beginning to end. My observations YAY to you, all of you. Why the hell were there so many cops and 'authority figures'? Are they really so scared of you Which one was you... I looked close but couldn't work it out. I am impressed with the dignity and determination of the protestors That girl holding up the sign must have had really strong arms. What happened after?
  3. AHA... Thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time. I learn something new every day.
  4. Okay... what does CTRL Z and CTRL S do? And why don't I have a refresh button under my ? And What do CTRL A and CTRL X do?
  5. Me too... can't wait to get started. I am always itching to write.. but it's your fault if I get shouted at for not posting chapters on GA for a while
  6. Congratulations hun. You didn't just pass you passed awesomely. Well done. We always had faith in you
  7. What motivates me? Hmm... that's hard to answer. In a way I can't say that I am 'motivated' to write. I 'have' to write. I am 'driven' to write. When I have a story burning in me I can't do anything but write. It posessed me every minute of the day until it is spent and then, more likely than not there will be another one burning to get out. I find myself working out dialogue on the train, picturing scenes while I am supposed to be working. Walking, talking, eating, breathing like my characters as I work out what they would do and wouldn't do, what they look like, who they are as people. What kind of things spark off an idea? Anything. A mannequin in a shop window, something someone says in conversation, attending a funeral, being bored in court and looking around at my fellow lawyers... anything and everything. I'm probably a complete freak but hey, that's the way I like it.
  8. You confused me too But that's not hard
  9. Looking forward to seeing you take on that. Remember that Lovecraft was digging into much earlier legends and, although there is a grain of truth in what he says it is all complete fantasy. If you haven't read the Necronomicon you should as it is not only an interesting read it also gives a lot of background to the stories.
  10. Who would ever pass up an invitation like that... but you have to stop running away
  11. Neither was I Personally I have never let age get in the way of my fantasising or lusting. For me beauty is in the eyes and the personality and they only get more beautiful as they gain wisdom. I am loving this new story and I am excited about what secrets the letters and diary will reveal, bearing in mind that probably when it was written homosexuality was a crime.
  12. YAY.. awesome. Can't wait to read. I hope the chapter appears soon.
  13. Well I am going to look a little further back. I am thinking of the time when angels first 'knew' man. I do not believe that they were some heavenly creation serving God because i do not believe in that God. They were, however an immensely advanced civilisation and they were teaching humanity all kinds of things from herbalism to the art of war but filled with good grace and love. When civil war ended that with the fall humanity was cut adrift and left to fend for themselves. They became savages but with enough knowldge to be dangerous. If they had been allowed to complete the process and integrate humanity the course of history would have been very different.
  14. Hey there John the newcomer. Good to see you. I can't say that I am looking forward to getting to know you as the dirty minds will read more into it than was meant... I myself do not have a dirty mind being as pure as the driven snow in every way apart of course from being totally twisted and evil Awww Be careful or you might fool people into thinking I am nice and that would sooooo spoil the image altough come to think of it fooling people into thinking I'm nice might be a good idea... nothing like lulling people into a false sense of security.
  15. I'm with you there. I am currently working on a story that is the fourth in a trilogy.. yes I know Each story is absolutely separate and distinct, stands alone and separate but plugs into a central theme. In the final, fourth book all the characters come together and the whole series comes together in a climax. I know that's confusing... it was originally going to be three stories and I wrote the first two then got stuck half way thorough the third. I just couldn't get more than half way. Now I know... because there's another one which needs to be written before it can be integrated into the last one. Wish me luck
  16. Yummm. Wouldn't I like to be sandwiched between those two...
  17. Hey there, welcome Alex... looking forward to getting to know you
  18. Kind of. But for me the reviews are just icing on the cake... not necessary to be able to enjoy the chocolate chips. I write for me and I post for anyone who wants to read it. I have noticed that some stories have almost 20,000 hits but less than 30 comments... and most of those are by the same people. I take the view that if one person ready the chapter and enjoys it then that's reason enough to post the next one. And as I never know whether the people who don't comment are enjoying it I just assume that they are... but then I am generally a bit of a Pollyanna so...
  19. I'm in. This sounds like so much fun. As for a prize... shouldn't winning be it's own reward
  20. I don't know how to do links. A kind friend gave me a link to my stories generally so that's the only one I can put in. All my stories are twisted in some ways but Love in Chains was my biggest walk on the dark side... hmm... so was To Have and to Hold actually... and that was a vampire one kind of :) My link
  21. Well... I have never been averse to taking chances
  22. Children. Being a mother I just can't write bad things happening to children. Children do occasionally crop up in my stories, but always to bring lightness. Apart from that... no, I don't think so. Have you READ Love in Chains?
