Use a hose I sympathise with your tshirt problem... I suffer from the same malady except it is not limited to white tshirts in my case. Welcome to GA from a fellow technoboobie. Hey hun. You can't possibly be intimidated by us... we're too fuzzy. At least that's one word you could use to describe... at least a couple of us Hey Daisy nice to meet you. Shame on you for slacking As a grad student you should be in love with the work . I'm sure that you are usually such and angel like me I completely agree that the are addictive and should carry a health warning. However you should pick and choose carefully or you will end up failing class and being blue On the whole though this place is Although I don't know what you mean about the smilies as I never use them myself (BTW had to remove loads of smileys because the nasty man wouldn't let me post them... apparently there's a limit)

It depends is the answer to this one. Most of my male characters are beautiful and extraordinary in one way or another for three reasons. One they are my fantasy men and it excites me to write about them, two because it is pure escapism and I think that people looking for escapism are not looking for acne and bad teeth, they are looking for someone they can drool over, and thirdly I generally write the description of the character through the eyes of their love interest so of course they are going to be beautiful to them otherwise why bother? I tend to put a bit of ordinariness in most of my characters... except the ones I REALLY drool over or if there is another compelling reason (for example Daniel in DL who was deliberately written to be the me I have always wanted to be... he even has my hair ; or the angels in my angel stories) All my characters have flaws but they are different according to the character. Sometimes it is a temper, sometimes a weakness, sometimes a naivety ... to the point of stupidity on occasion. But someone who is totally beautiful and entirely flawless on the inside and the outside is nothing more than a characature and no one at all is going to relate to them.

What's in a name? Everything for me. I just can't realate to a character who has a crap name. And no, I won't give examples in case anyone has written them into their stories and gets offended. I ALWAYS use names I like for charactes I like although I might dip into the realm of the dismal for villains or peripherals. Although I think so far that I have actually used liked names for everyone.

I agree with Lacey that people are hot headed and impulsive and very little is really worth dying for. So I think that duelling should be made legal but the choice of weapons should be limited to celery, cucumber or throwing radish. It would then be less likely to end in death

GW Frat Boys Rush To Undo Homophobic Stereotype

Nope... I think the Sumerians did... certainly the Egyptians had plenty -
Well, I watched it from beginning to end. My observations YAY to you, all of you. Why the hell were there so many cops and 'authority figures'? Are they really so scared of you Which one was you... I looked close but couldn't work it out. I am impressed with the dignity and determination of the protestors That girl holding up the sign must have had really strong arms. What happened after?

Message Board Topic 2/1
Nephylim replied to Comicality's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
What motivates me? Hmm... that's hard to answer. In a way I can't say that I am 'motivated' to write. I 'have' to write. I am 'driven' to write. When I have a story burning in me I can't do anything but write. It posessed me every minute of the day until it is spent and then, more likely than not there will be another one burning to get out. I find myself working out dialogue on the train, picturing scenes while I am supposed to be working. Walking, talking, eating, breathing like my characters as I work out what they would do and wouldn't do, what they look like, who they are as people. What kind of things spark off an idea? Anything. A mannequin in a shop window, something someone says in conversation, attending a funeral, being bored in court and looking around at my fellow lawyers... anything and everything. I'm probably a complete freak but hey, that's the way I like it. -

Looking forward to seeing you take on that. Remember that Lovecraft was digging into much earlier legends and, although there is a grain of truth in what he says it is all complete fantasy. If you haven't read the Necronomicon you should as it is not only an interesting read it also gives a lot of background to the stories.

Neither was I Personally I have never let age get in the way of my fantasising or lusting. For me beauty is in the eyes and the personality and they only get more beautiful as they gain wisdom. I am loving this new story and I am excited about what secrets the letters and diary will reveal, bearing in mind that probably when it was written homosexuality was a crime.

YAY.. awesome. Can't wait to read. I hope the chapter appears soon.

Well I am going to look a little further back. I am thinking of the time when angels first 'knew' man. I do not believe that they were some heavenly creation serving God because i do not believe in that God. They were, however an immensely advanced civilisation and they were teaching humanity all kinds of things from herbalism to the art of war but filled with good grace and love. When civil war ended that with the fall humanity was cut adrift and left to fend for themselves. They became savages but with enough knowldge to be dangerous. If they had been allowed to complete the process and integrate humanity the course of history would have been very different.

Hey there John the newcomer. Good to see you. I can't say that I am looking forward to getting to know you as the dirty minds will read more into it than was meant... I myself do not have a dirty mind being as pure as the driven snow in every way apart of course from being totally twisted and evil Awww Be careful or you might fool people into thinking I am nice and that would sooooo spoil the image altough come to think of it fooling people into thinking I'm nice might be a good idea... nothing like lulling people into a false sense of security.

I'm with you there. I am currently working on a story that is the fourth in a trilogy.. yes I know Each story is absolutely separate and distinct, stands alone and separate but plugs into a central theme. In the final, fourth book all the characters come together and the whole series comes together in a climax. I know that's confusing... it was originally going to be three stories and I wrote the first two then got stuck half way thorough the third. I just couldn't get more than half way. Now I know... because there's another one which needs to be written before it can be integrated into the last one. Wish me luck

Yummm. Wouldn't I like to be sandwiched between those two...

Kind of. But for me the reviews are just icing on the cake... not necessary to be able to enjoy the chocolate chips. I write for me and I post for anyone who wants to read it. I have noticed that some stories have almost 20,000 hits but less than 30 comments... and most of those are by the same people. I take the view that if one person ready the chapter and enjoys it then that's reason enough to post the next one. And as I never know whether the people who don't comment are enjoying it I just assume that they are... but then I am generally a bit of a Pollyanna so...
