  1. Thank the Gods for diversity. If we all had the same tastes it would be Soooooo boring. The favourite car I ever had was a 1940's volvo... built like a tank, could have camped in the boot but I loved him to bits... literally in the end.
  2. Happy Birthday
  3. Happy Birthday
  4. I share my home with a number of ghosts/spirits. One is a cat that has been 'seen' by many people, for example by way of a dip in the pillow, and felt by many more. My real cats play with her all the time. I also have a prehistoric cave bear which is linked to a cave bear tooth my son's godmother gave to him to be his protector. There are 4 knights I brought home with me from an iron age cairn and a man in a large brimmed hat. And that's just the ones I share my home with. In the seventeenth century I loved someone who died in my arms in... erm.. shall we say unuaul circumstances... and he is with me still. Yes, I feel his hands, his kisses, hear his voice, smell him. So I guess I am a believer. The world is made up of energy. The electrons spin around the nucleus and create it all the time. Some things vibrate more quickly than others and the more quickly they vibrate the less able we are to perceive them with the external senses. Everything that lives contains living energy and that does not end when we die. It just changes. The living energy... soul... prana... whatever is what goes on, what constitues 'God' in my book. That is a very bad description but I am very tired and it has been a VERY long day. This is my belief, no presented as fact but as my own personal reality. I know that it is true... I am also quite prepared to accept not only that others do not believe it is true but that in their reality it isn't.
  5. Indeed
  6. I'm sorry. I have never seen that photograph or, I am sorry to say, heard of Matthew Sheppard. I have now read up on the whole thing. I am still in tears. Aren't humans such wonderful creatures...? I completely agree with you JJ
  7. Me too
  8. Either down to my rank stupidity or my apalling eyesight... but... I really can't make out what I'm looking at here
  9. Just sandwich me between Johnny Depp and Nicole Kidman and I will be a happy bunny
  10. Ditto. I don't have any father figures in my life at the moment but my Dad was the best and I could do worse than raise a glass to his memory. You were the best Dad.
  11. I want someone who loves me... simple as. Don't care what gender, don't care what colour skin, don't care what they look like (although long dark hair and come to bed eyes would be appreciated) don't care what the state of the bank balance is, don't even care if they leave the toilet seat up and shavings in the sink. *sigh*
  12. That's extremely interesting. I am a complete history freak so thank you. I will keep my eyes on this thread carefully
  13. I love my liver... I have been working on it for years.....
  14. Just shows how observant I am Thanks
  15. Happy Birthday
  16. I have three cats and two goldfish... well the goldfish are my son's... he named them after my daughter and her girlfriend then rang my daughter to tell her she's the fat one.... couldn't understand why I laughed so hard.
  17. Happy Birthday
  18. Quote Rush "You sound so much like me! *sigh* There is NOTHING to do around here, I'd have to drive almost 2 hrs to get to Richmond for night life, I wouldn't want to go the the bars around here... " (By the way how do you get quotes in here like you do?) Try the Welsh Valleys... there is less than nothing.... unless you're into sheep.
  19. Hey, happy birthday to you. Have a fab day.
  20. Last weekend I did..... nothing. This weekend I am doing... nothing. Sigh. Living in this backwater is killing me. Which is why I am moving to the City... woohooo can't wait. Anyone want to buy a house
  21. I am utterly impressed. I am the least technical person in my world and I wouldn't have known where to start. Very professional
  22. Anyone wanting to visit Wales is welcome to come for a visit... not much action in this little valley town but I am planning to move to the big city later this year.
  23. If you ever come to Wales go down to Cardiff Bay and visit the visitors information centre. Not only the bay the most fantastic place and a must for totty watching on a hot summer day but the information centre was actually able to give us a map with all the gay bars and night clubs in the city centre with a recommendation for different kinds of tastes AND none of them even batted an eyelid when we asked. The bar they recommended was fab too.
  24. I agree with Lily Allen
  25. I have never been to mainland Canada but I spent two weeks in Newfoundland and had an absolute blast. The people were amazing, the history fasincating and the food.... interesting. We saw bears, elk, eagles, seals and even whales and ice bergs in the harbour.... It was incredible loved it.
