  1. Thanks. I think the whole intimidation thing is more related to the more serious topics. The Soapbox, for example, is one place that will take a while before I post in though I read it quite a bit.
  2. Since he probably won't read this, I guess it's okay to say it here. I've been crushing on Dr. Myk for a few months now.
  3. Most of things I that make up the online me is pretty much the same as the in person me. The only thing not me is the avatar. I actually think I come off shier (shyer? Is that correct?) online than I am in person though. I spent a lot of my time at school surrounded by people in class or badminton teammates so I sort of know the dynamic. I can easily voice my opinion or hold a conversation, sort of. The fact that I only know a few people here actually makes it more intimidating for me. In the forums, aside from the last post wins thread (which I will totally win!), I usually type a reply up and then delete it because I feel that what I am going to say either has already been said or isn't up to par with the discussion. I'm also never quite sure if I'm typing a run-on sentence or not, which doesn't help. Then there is chat, which is a totally different beast. People type so quickly and two or three conversations can be going on at the same time so it is kind of confusing. There have even been times when I actually just dropped by and not said a things besides a "hi" and a "good bye." Kinda creepy, right? The only time I ever get to talk to people there is if are only a few people or if Sam is there. Mr. Bugeye can get me to talk for some reason.
  4. I have five. Three of them are so flat, you need to stack them together before they can resemble a pillow.
  5. Happy Birthday KJames!!
  6. I'm sort of both but in different areas. When you go into my bedroom, the bed isn't made, my exercise stuff is roughly bunched in the corner, and the chess board is in the last position it was in when I was playing with against myself the night before. My study room will probably be as messy with my school books spread out on the table. It is almost the opposite though for the living room, the kitchen, my closet, or the bookshelves. The living room is always arranged in a specific way: two pillows on the right side of the sofa, a pillow on the loveseat, three books and a magazine on the lower level of the coffee table, and a centerpiece on top. The kitchen is always clean unless somebody just finished cooking. My clothes in the closet are arranged by color and type. All shirts, tshirts, and hoodies are are separated and arranged by color. Same goes with my jackets and formal wear. The novels that I have bought and finished reading are grouped together and neatly placed on the shelves downstairs. If I haven't finished it yet, it will be stacked in my bedroom according to size. So yeah. It is a mix.

  8. Happy Birthday, Doc!
  9. Boo! They killed Johnny Cage again!
  10. I don't really know what cut my hair is. I just go to the place and ask the lady to cut it short. Then I let it grow for three months before having it cut again.
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. My pet peeves (based on last week). 1. Wannabe gangsters (or is it gangsta?). Do I even need to explain why this is annoying? 2. Talking in class (especially when they try to mask it as participation). Obviously I'm not a big fan of the whole "there are no dumb questions" concept because my classmates ask a lot of them. Maybe I'm quick to judge or maybe they're just stupid, I don't know. 3. People telling me how well I speak in English. It's insulting. 4. Switching lanes without a signal. Is it really that difficult to flick your turn signal on?
  13. Happy Birthday Sir Myr!!
  14. I'm going to go with Philly-Chicago with Chicago winning in 6. I'd like the Canadiens to win but they aren't really playing all that well. They haven't even scored a point yet. I also like the Flyers' momentum.
  15. Happy Birthday Graeme!!!
  16. Happy Birthday, Mark!!!
  17. *sigh* Today's game was pretty much the same as last year's Game 6.
  18. Happy Birthday!!
  19. I never liked that guy! He looked creepy even as a kid.
  20. Favorites are Uzumaki Naruto, Hatake Kakashi, and Gaara as well. The reasons are pretty much the same as Tiger's so just read his explanation. I also like Neji Hyuga mainly because he excels in what he does and is one of the more mature characters in the manga. He's also the only jonin out of Naruto's class. I think I like Pain right now mainly because it is where the anime is. The whole Naruto-Pain showdown is about to come up which is really exciting. I also liked Sasuke Uchiha but only because I am biased to the original team 7. The whole cursed seal thing the Orochimaru gave him made him a bit pathetic in my eyes though since he is pretty much like a bad Naruto. The Pervy Sage is always awesome so that is a no brainer. I also like Azuma. I never really noticed him before but when he taught Naruto how to use wind-based chakre and then when he fought Hidan, he sort because quite likable. The whole 'king' thing that he and Shikimaru keep on talking about is something I don't really care for but he's still cool. As for least favorite. Tenten hands down. I don't really understand what her skill is aside from being able to throw many weapons at people.
  21. Yes please cheer for Vancouver! We obviously need all the support we can get. It has been absolutely agonizing watching them play the last three games, especially the the two that were played at home.
  22. I don't really disagree with what you said about Luongo but I left that I needed to say something since I am a Canucks fan so... Boo Steve!!! And I cannot believe that the one year I think that the Sharks will choke, they don't! Today's game was pathetic but I don't really see them losing the series. I want them to since it'll give me 5 more points here but they probably won't.
  23. INTJ Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging Strength of the preferences % 78% 12% 25% 67% You are: very expressed introvert slightly expressed intuitive personality moderately expressed thinking personality distinctively expressed judging personality Looks pretty accurate. The percentages of the two in the middle usually fluctuate a bit but are still always N and T.
  24. I volunteered during Vancouver Pride last year. I got to meet and talk to a lot of nice people during the Terry Wallace pancake breakfast on Saturday. The parade itself, on Sunday, was amazing and lots of fun. Interesting costumes, fun environment, and a lot of hot people wearing very little. Then the festival at Sunset Beach was sort of fun, but I had to stand guard at the side of the stage for about 6 hours. It was the first event I've ever been too wear clothing was almost optional and where people openly try to shove their tongues into other people's throats, so that something. Overall, it was great, and I'd probably be volunteering again this year just minus the security gig during the festival.
  25. Happy Birthday Layla!!!
