This is the story of Gres Langton, a smart young man, who having just completed his University studies in Veterinary Nursing, he is informed of his single mother's death, on arrival home from a day of work at a veterinary clinic. after missing a few days of work, after the funeral, his boss, sends him off on a holiday, to help him to cope with his recently loss, and that trip changes everything for him.

Tanner has just won the best prize ever - an opportunity to meet one of his favorite singers, Jonathan White. Little does he know that the prize includes more than he bargained for!

He dives into his new-found independence and experiences the highs and lows of drinking, dating and dealing with his unusual flatmate, his emotionally troubled workmate, his environmentalist neighbour, her sexually frustrated roommate and a local Councillor who was once the hero of the gay village. The story unfolds through the eyes of each of the six characters, as their lives weave in and out of one another, with political ambitions, sexual exploration, personal demons and unearthed secrets.
