This will be a collection for most of my poetry. Hope you'll find it appealing. Some of it will be Mature, so pay attention to the chapter notes.

Growing up happens differently for everyone. Finding yourself takes time, and for some of us it's not an easy process. Sometimes it can happen fast, all too fast. Sometimes we let parts of ourselves stray behind. Sometimes things must get worse before they can get better. Sometimes much, much worse. But these are the things that define us. That much, at least, St. John Allerdyce knows. But it's one thing to know something and another to live through it.

The Knight's Tale is the story of Lord Henry Sandringham, a gay British nobleman who is secretly an agent for MI6. He is sent to Tehran to rescue the son of the Foreign Minister, who faces the death penalty for being gay. Using a secret new drug called SOMNOS, the agent is assigned to conduct the young man to safety over the Alborz Mountains, across the Caspian Sea, and back to Britain.

Miles Standifer is due to graduate in less than 24 hours. He stops by the campus library shortly before closing to return a book he borrowed months ago. While there he sees the professor he's been crushing on since sophomore year. He works up the nerve to finally approach him, but when he goes to open his mouth, he cannot speak. Neither can the professor. No one inside the library can speak. When Miles goes to leave, he finds all of the doors locked. Oh, and there's a dead body in one of the study rooms. And the promise of more death before the end of the night.

When Jason was six, he was involved in an accident that stole his parents and his voice. Left alone in a world that attacked him at every turn, he learned to hold onto his light and find comfort in himself. Then he was adopted by a family of wolves, and everything changed.

Born a wolf, Devyn doesn't understand many of the rules of his two legged family. He tries his hardest, but life on all four is much more fun. Not many get him, even in his own family, but his new brother seems different somehow.

An offering of poems for National Poetry Writing Month; April 2022. Some were composed in response to prompts provided to me, others not.

Colt has a violent past. He was expelled for beating up another classmate, and he and his family are moving to another town because of it. New house, new town, new start. Only Colt foresees a lot more violence in his future once he realizes his new friend, Noah, is in trouble.

Life is full of twists and turns, both expected and unexpected, wondrous and excruciating. This year’s poems for National Poetry Writing Month will embrace the curveballs life throws at us and also serve as an exploration and raw portrayal of the grieving process. Follow me, and we’ll see what’s around the bend.
