Colorado State Patrol - 9. Burnt Down

The Trooper & The Firefighter

I’m not quite sure how I ended up in this position; I guess it’s all my idiotic neighbor’s fault. One week the silly girl goes away, her pipes freeze when the temperature drops, and service is cut to the rest of the building until the plumbers inspect every unit. Maybe I shouldn’t complain too much about that. I mean, I did end up playing with the plumber’s tools the entire weekend.

“Get up, Troop! You have to be at work in a couple of hours and we’re going to the gym first.” Damn! What a cruel man. Here I am, all cozy in a cocoon made of blankets, and he yanks them all off in one swoop. Bastard!

The banging on the door, in the middle of the night a few weeks later, was once again the result of her being a space cadet. I was to find out later she’d fallen asleep, leaving several lit candles burning, which started the blaze. While still groggy, I opened the door to a set of bright blue eyes I noticed swept up and down my naked body.

“Sir, the building’s on fire, you have to leave now. Throw on some clothes and take the stairs, we’ve locked the elevators.” Marshall wore his protective gear, all that could be seen through his helmet’s visor were those bright blue eyes and the thickest mustache in the world.

I pulled on jeans, grabbed my heavy coat, a pair of sneakers, my phone, wallet, and firearm, before hurrying down the three flights of stairs leading to the parking lot. The flames were contained quickly, the damage from them limited to three units. But all four floors were evacuated, and we weren’t allowed back inside.

“Buddy, if that’s your patrol car you’re leaning against, I’ll be glad to take you back inside your place to get a uniform to wear.” Marshall had come over to me, the front of his coat open, revealing a sweat-soaked t-shirt spread over a broad chest.

While my unit wasn’t ravaged by flames, there was significant smoke and water damage. Planning to spend the remainder of the evening in a motel and skip work the next day, I grabbed toiletries and walked back to my car with the firefighter escorting me. The man kept a hand on my lower back from the moment he met me.

“Listen, I’m not sure where you plan on going right now,” Marshall whispered to me so no one else could hear. “Why don’t you come back to my place and crash there. It’ll be a couple of days before your apartment is cleaned, you can stay with me until you’re ready to move back.”

Well, the fire was six months ago, I haven’t moved back yet. Since then, the position I find myself in most nights is on my back. With my legs spread, and my firefighting daddy on top of me. Life’s good right now.

Well, that's it for now. Seems as if Troop has been tamed at the moment. Should that change, I'll bring you an update.

Well, I'll be damned... I never thought I'd see the day that Officer Espinosa would be tamed  Of course, I ain't sure how long that'll last :gikkle:

I really enjoy this series :D

Guess you didn't "LIKE" the chapter, eh? Oh well, sorry but it had to come to an end. Rather stop while it's on top. The series, I mean.

I'm ticked off though. I set it up for posting tomorrow at 4am, double checked everything and next thing I know there's a review for the chapter. I swer GA's gonna drive me to an early cremation!

You may be ticked off, but I'm a happy camper! Just logged on and what did I see but another episode of Trooper Tales. :D
I gather from reading your reply to Drew, that Officer Espinosa's escapades will be behind closed doors now that he has found his Daddy. :gikkle:
Too bad for us, but I guess we will have to settle with being happy for Officer E.
I wouldn't hold it against you if you changed your mind and did an epilogue....

I use the system to post Autumn chapters ahead of schedule setting them to publish at the correct time. It's easy to mess up and I obviously did so with TT. It's all good, it was only a day early. Could you imagine if 2 or 3 chapters of Autumn posted together, ahead of schedule?

Anyway, they've been together for six months according to Espinosa. I think I'll wait until the honeymoon year is over before I check in with Troop and Marsh. A cop and a fireman, now that would be an original premise for a gay adult film...
