Twinks in Space: Fantastic Voyage - Part Two - 29. Chapter 29 - End Vision
“Are we headed back to Boullia Bay?” Phentrom asked Fonith. The mandroid was traveling with the bounty hunter through hyperspace aboard the Cometskipper.
Fonith shook her head. “No, I’m admitting myself to the nearest Hope medical frigate to get checked over. I feel terrible.”
Phentrom brought a gentle hand to Fonith’s. “I’m so sorry they subjected you to all that pain.”
Fonith placed her own hand on top of his and said, “I’m glad you got me out of there, Phentrom.”
“How long until we arrive at the hospital ship?”
Fonith pulled up the hyperspace timer on her screen and turned it toward Phentrom. There were less than ten minutes of flight remaining.
When they arrived, Fonith recommended Phentrom stay on her ship while she got checked out, but ten minutes after she was gone, the communication alert began to chime. Phentrom considered that it might not be prudent to answer, but then he pushed the button anyway. He was glad he did. Captain Suoki was on the other end.
“Phentrom! The Burn Throne is under attack!”
The mandroid was shocked. “Is it the Deathian?!”
“No! It’s the group who hired Quigley to hunt you down!”
Phentrom gasped. “The Dokschin Collective.”
“It’s a destroyer called the End Vision,” Captain Suoki continued shouting. “They’ve been jamming Quigley’s communications, and we only just got them working again. The Burn Throne’s shields are being pummeled, and its weapons aren’t made to deal with a massive battleship!”
Phentrom did not know what to do. “Fonith just admitted herself to a Hope ship.”
“Call Lyoth!” Captain Suoki cried out. “Send him our location!” Static glitched the screen, and the captain’s voice crackled over the Cometskipper’s speakers once more before the call died. “We need help!”
