The starship Deathian was floating in the void. Several repair shuttles were on their way to assist with the ruined controls of the ship’s cavitation engine. It was the only major damage done by the squad who had infiltrated the destroyer’s defenses and broke out the prisoners. The medical laboratory was still fully functional.

On one of the operating tables, a body was undergoing aberrant procedures meant to keep it alive, but to strip it of everything that made it an individual. In an ironic twist, the end result would leave the body as a singular and unrepeated form in the universe.

The clone pair of Admiral Gniack and Captain Disigorth were overseeing the treatment.

“Golvinte is going to be a useful addition to our ranks.” He entered Golvinte’s new designation and spoke it aloud. “Welcome to the team, GX-Alpha.”
