NaPoWriMo-2016 - 1. Day 1: A Fool's Birthday

April 1

Here comes the thought of birthdays on April's first day, the Fools Day. So this poem came to me just like that. And what's so funny is it’s my Dad's birthday too. And I warn you this is definitely not related to my dad.

 

It’s not the way,

I would never say.

But the fools day,

is someone's birthday.

 

I know it’s a weird thing,

all those thoughts my mind bring.

Oh no! What a poor offspring.

Just say 'Happy Birthday' to Fools King.

First, my reason for writing here is obviously to review the poem I just read, but my reason for reading is due to all your status updates spamming my notifications list :read: So I thought let's go see what this lad is all about :glomp:
Poems are not usually my thing, they tend to confuse me, I don't always know what kind of feeling I'm supposed to feel and I always end up over analysering them, so I just picked one randomly. :wizard:
I must say I really liked this one, I don't know much about fools day as we don't have that in DK, so that's not quite the angle I saw it from, but more as; even though some people are different (whether it be physically or mentally) you shouldn't treat them differently, they are just the same as the rest of us and should be treated as such (i think I over analysed)... :blink:
I liked the emotional path it took me down and I will definitely be coming back to read more:) :great:

I really don't know the story behind a 'Fools day'. But what I know is, this day is full of pranks and fun. We pull pranks on family members, friends and neighbors and all. Its just fun. Never seen it get serious around us anytime. And the concept of birth day on that day it will go all hilarious and fun. Its mostly about fun, intelligent and bonding relations and happy moments with all you live.

 

Yeah may be you over analyzed a bit, my intentions are never to treat someone low. I am afraid, I am not that kind. Different kind of views and different perspectives are what make us efficient in our writings. But what I was glad is, you enjoyed the poem and liked it. You are always welcome to read and review you perspective of thoughts. I appreciate them any way... :)
