Thanks, starboardtack! It's nice to have another Western fan. Finding Refuge was one of my favorite stories to write, and I always wanted to write another Western... this was my therapy for dealing with pandemic isolation.   Thanks for the encouragement!  

So glad I took this western journey with you...well worth the cross country horse ride...FOR SURE!!! Thoroughly enjoyed these two cowboys, my fav Blue, and the hilarious little horse trainer/wagon maker!!!💖

I'm glad you did too, Onim! It's been a fun journey for me as well, and it's not quite over yet. One more Sidewinder Monday to come.   I'm glad you liked Blue... I have a fondness for animals who can be difficult. My mare is miserable, until I put her halter or bridle on and start doing something with her. Then she becomes the sweetest creature in the land.   And yeah, old man Corker quickly became a favorite of mine. I love when characters come to life. Cheers and thanks, my dear friend.

Well, saddle up there, pardner, and hitch up your gitalong. Time's a wasting.  

I got the gitalong hitched up and went out for a slow ride.  That didn't happen....once again.  I try hard to savor the chapters, but always start binging as I get caught up in the story.  I'm blaming it all on you!  Your great stories thwart my good intentions every time.  Now I'm off to Larkspur, but this time I won't be struggling to go slower.  That's a lost cause for me, so I'll go with the story flow.
