Hi I don’t know if this will work, but I thought I’d experiment anyway. I’m based in the UK, and whilst that’s OK in many ways (we’re not getting in to politics here), one of the downsides is that it feels like most people here on GA are just not awake during the hours that I’m around. One of the implications of this is that there’s not much chatting going on. So I was wondering if anyone is in a similar place? I’m not around during every waking moment or anything, but I check in when I can, so it would be good to know if anyone else is around too. Also - I’m really not anticipating a lot of chat about the GMT time zone specifically, or any other one for that matter Although stranger things (by far) have happened. I just like passing the time with people, particularly if they don’t mind a sometimes weird/dark sense of humour, moderate flippancy, and a good handful of opinions. So maybe I’ll hear from people, I’ll not take it (too) personally if not. Sam

This thread is dedicated to bringing you news about my writing, discussing stuff, and anything you want to say here rather than in story comments, about my books. You know, the things like: that didn't seem real, hated that bit, how did you/could you write that, what next? I typed in WKW as a snappy title, the spell check kept changing it to WOW! That's okay I guess, I don't have any problems with WOW! Anyway, I would love to interact with anyone who wants to, and if not, that's fine too. I will be checking back here from time to time to let you know what's going on. So what is going on? I was very fortunate to find a great editor for Refugee, and now that we have almost completed the re-edit, I am starting to publish it. The book appears as a new story, for the publicity, well perhaps. But, it was always intended as one single book, in four parts, which is really why it is getting published a fresh. Rompecabezas I wrote way back in 2016. I say, way back, because I've learnt a whole lot about how to write since then. Which has prompted me to edit and proof read the book. This is so I don't cringe at the errors I made back then. I still make mistakes, but hopefully less with the practice I've had. The book gets published with the new edition over the old, so you need to follow the story if you want up dates, it won't appear as a new book. That's all for now good people, happy reading.

So back when we had chat, Krista and I would use it only for meaningful discussion of topics relating to stories Actually, since I look over her chapters, and I point out things I see to her, she is usually receptive to my suggestions to change certain things Occasionally, she gets in a Kentucky Woman stubborn attitude and we disagree about something. In those cases, we always turned to chat to ask all the participants who is right and who is wrong It isn't a competition though Now we are faced with this line she has put in her recent chapter: I mentioned that the way it is written, it makes sense, but the o standing by itself is distracting and interrupts the reading and makes me go over and over again wondering what spelling error she made or what she meant to say. She agreed and then suggested putting it as "o". I suggested 'o' as the " usually denotes conversation/dialogue. She agreed. Now, here is the question, are we right that it should be 'o' , or should it be 'O'? If both of us are completely wrong, let us know.

Seeing how many people I've come across on here are fans of Game of Thrones I thought I'd start a discussion for it here! So whether you always pay your debts, or abide by Family,Honor, and Duty let's talk about it

This is a place to discuss all things geeky and dorky: From the newest Tech toys like 3D VR for computers to potential new tech coming to market soon like the robot waitress From Comic book stories like Batman's recent proposal to Catwoman in issue 24 of Batman: DC Rebirth (still waiting on her reply) to TV series like The Arrow, The Flash, Legend of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Agents of Shield, and Gotham. From classic sci-fi like Isaac Asimov and Philip K. Dick to modern TV ike Star Trek, firefly, Fringe, others. Everything geeky is discussable here, just make sure don't poke into areas of politics, social commentary is fine, but no direct references. I'll leave you all with my favorite Sci-Fi anthology opening to inaugurate this chat room:
