Twelve new stories to read. That ought to cover the holidays. Though if I start at the top, it may take a while to get down to you Bill.

Disaster and end of the world may have similarities but are certainly not the same thing.

They're not the same. Also who cares about the quantity? Let's cut the crapitude and show some support for the contributors and organizers for these events :3

The number of anthologies vary each time.  Pandora's Box had 22, Roll the Dice had 11... It just depends, not just on the theme, but what Author's have going on at the time of the anthology.  "End of the World" was a special anthology and personally I see that theme as very different from "Recipe for Disaster".  Could you write a story that was similar for both, yeah, but that's how most of the anthologies are.  You could probably find a way to tie any anthology into another one if you really wanted to.

Been working my way through them. Nearly done and all so different. Got to admit we have a talented group working this one. :)

I agree with Renee on the number of people posting.  I had full intentions of doing this antho, but RL bogged me down.  So now, I'm doing WL's Christmas prompts.  It's all in fun, and having talented writers take their time to do this for us.  Some of these have stories going, but still make time to post an antho.  I love to read them:)

They are all vastly different and only one played with the idea of ending the world created for the story. Besides, as usual, each story is completely different from the one before. I think it would be a rather boring writer who couldn't take a different take on the subject.

The theme is red meat for the writer, so I'm not surprised by the healthy response. "Only 12", but I enjoyed all. I happened upon "Half Jack" and reviewed it, oblivious to the anthology and its common theme. After reading "To Thine Own Self be True", I noted the anthology and decided to read all before reviewing any more. As a group, the stories teach me that one may be stuck with bad ingredients but perhaps can improve upon the recipe, with a bit of luck, an ingredient completely lacking in several entries.

I would have thought that the anthology banner on each story page would have linked back to this announcement page rather than the home page. What is the reasoning behind that?

Well, that was a mixed bag of tricks.

Some really good reads in that lot. :D

Thanks everyone for a wicked way to spend a weekend.
