Ok, so appearently, I'm mean. This is according to a source who says that 20-30 people have told him that I'm mean. So, I want to know.....is it true?? Be honest, too because if I am, I don't want to be mean. Normally, I don't care what people think of me, and really, if it was just a few people, I wouldnt worry.....but 20-30 is a lot. So, if you're one of those people, and you think I'm mean, please tell me why.

I do not know you very well, but every time that you have been in chat you have not seemed mean. :D

Oh that's ridiculous! You're one of the sweetest people ever! (Yep I voted for the Jelly)

Don't let people get you down, there's a chance this person was exagerating or something anyway. I mean I'm sure he didn't start a "people who think Nick's mean" list and add names one by one, so it's completely possible he's falsely remembering how many people said that, perhaps even without malicious intent, it could just be an honest mistake.

People gossip and attack each other, it sucks but it's always going to happen :( . I remember when I was in 8th grade (yeah this really stuck with me for some reason :( ), one of my best friends came up to me and said, "hey guess what ___ just said, he said you were an a@@H*(&!" :( ....and to this day I still sometimes think, "am I?" I think I probably was back then, and maybe still am somewhat :( . Anyway the point is don't let this bother you; don't let it stick to you. Just be yourself and be happy :)

I don't think of you as mean, Nick, but sometimes I get the impression you say things without thinking of how they're going to come across to others, or what the potential consequences of your words might be. I catch myself doing the same thing; I call it "foot in mouth" syndrome. Sometimes what I say just ends up sounding silly, or making me look stupid, but sometimes it ends up being unnecessarily hurtful to other people.

It's not so much that I'm worried about what other people think of me, as I am about showing a lack of compassion and consideration. On the one hand, if I am going to express myself honestly and do the things that I think need doing, I can't prevent people from feeling or even getting hurt. That bothers me, but it's also a fact of life. (That's why I said "unnecessarily" hurtful.) On the other hand, I can do my best to try to see things from other people's point of view and realize that I don't always have the ultimate answer about things. Believe me, I am not perfect at that, but it's something I'm trying to be aware of.

I don't know if that's what the people who said you're mean were referring to; it's just what came to mind when I read your question.

"Deranged" only has one "r". Is this really Snow Dog, or some evil imposter using his account?
