Okay so listen one and all this is the story of my name and I will only write it this one time. My name is Green because my parents were pseudo hippie missionaries and they thought it was great that they were going to call all of their children a different color of the Rainbow. Unfortunately they only had one child together and that was me, GREEN.

It took years for me to be comfortable with this name. My middle name is Javian and when I was younger I used to go by this name. I stopped using that name during freshman year of high school and I embraced my real name.

Besides which I really like Green as a name, no matter how it came about, and you could have been called lavender, pink, beige or puce.

Hmm....a question...now if this is delving too close then ignore it. So this is for both of you...when you were kids...say 5 years old...what did you want to be when you grew up. And why. Well, it could've been worse. Green is distinctive as a name, and I've known people named (or nicknamed) Blue, Indigo, Violet, and Red. But Yellow or Orange? Or they could've just named you "Rainbow."

(I'm probaby going to be in trouble now with all of the "Yellows" and "Oranges" out there who are reading this. There's my foot in mouth again.)
