Aww, you're in a very difficult place to be. I had an experience similar with my Step-father's father. He had cancer and alzheimer's disease. He refused to go to a nursing home though. Seeing a person's mind slowly die is probably one of the most difficult things I've seen someone go through. He knew that his mind was slipping away and that it was out of his control. Seeing a person in that state is something I don't want to see again at all. So I can only sympathise with you and feel for your mother's condition.

So stay strong dear.
