BeaStKid Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Thank you, BK. I am glad you like it. I happen to enjoy writing it. I can't wait to see how these new powers affect Julian... Ooohh!!
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted February 18, 2008 Author Site Moderator Posted February 18, 2008 And to think we've only gotten a small taste of what Julian and Cristobal will be able to do together. I'm waiting to see what happens next.
Tiger Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I can't wait to see how these new powers affect Julian... Ooohh!! Julian is always collecting new powers. Some powers are easier to control than others. I'm working on Chapter 11. Chapter 10 happens to be in beta.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted February 19, 2008 Author Site Moderator Posted February 19, 2008 And chapter 10 will be a fun chapter to read.
BeaStKid Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 And chapter 10 will be a fun chapter to read. I'm sure of that!!
GaryK Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Hi Tim. Like I told you yesterday I'm not really into Sci-Fi/Fantasy except for superficial stuff like Star Trek. But I promised you I'd at least read chapter one of Dark Earth: The Prophecy. I did that and was almost instantly hooked. This is definitely the right genre for you. It's clear that you love it because the enthusiasm is evident in the way you write it. As I've told only a very few other authors, it's almost like watching a movie in my mind. I know you'll be a hosted author very soon!

CONGRATULATIONS ON BECOMING ONE OF THE NEW PROMISING AUTHORS. Be sure to get caught up on all the chapters. Chapter 10 promises to be some fun.
GaryK Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Even if I get no work done at all today I plan to keep reading until I'm all caught up on this story.

I would love to be hosted one of these days. It would definitely be an honor, but I need more of an audience before that can happen. I also need to complete this particular part of the Dark Earth Series. My goal is to finish it within the first half of the year. After that, Second Chances will become my focus. GaryK Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Yeah, they are doing well so far... Keep reading. There are some surprises in store. If you mean the kiss, the floating bed, almost zapping the building into oblivion, and finding out who Julian's and Cristobel's parents are, then yes, I'd say there are some surprises in store.
Tiger Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Well, the surprises do not stop there. I am going to try to finish chapter 11 by the weekend. Hopefully, Chapter 10's beta reading will be finished soon. I have more surprises in store.

You're such a tease! ya, he is! But not that much, really, not that much
GaryK Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) Yeah, I agree about him not being too big a tease Sacha. I really like him a lot. I skipped my usual afternoon nap to keep reading chapters. I'm about to start Chapter 7, but I'm going to lay in bed and listen to some Rush for a little while to give my eyes a break. Then I plan to read the rest of what's been posted so far. I guess you could say I'm really lovin' it. Edited February 21, 2008 by GaryInMiami

They are always 6,000+.

I try to keep them fairly uniform. They are always 6,000+. You're doing fine Tim. The chapters aren't too long. In fact I think they're just right. Just long enough for me to read a chapter, take a short break to make another double espresso, and read the next chapter. As you've mentioned before eventually you'll have enough chapters in reserve that you can afford to release them more frequently. Either way I'll wait as long as I need to for the next chapter.

Tiger Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 CONGRATS, Tiger!!! Thanks BK. Actually, I would like to thank you all, especially CJ and Jan. If not for the two of you, I probably would not be in this position in the first place.

Not to ignore whatever help those folks may have been, but your work in the Dark Earth trilogy is good enough to stand on its own and make you deserving of being a promising author.
