But he is determined to keep his nephew off of dangerous away missions.

I think you remember that Ensigns and away missions was like sending someone to a quick death.

 

[3] The episode was original pitched by David Gerrold for Star Trek Next Generation

The main drama deal with a serious contagion("bloodworms") thats equivalent to the aids epidemic.

The enterprise is badly damages due to a run-in with the klingons

 

So its save the galaxy ; My nephew is Gay ; Keep My Nephew from Harm ; etc.

I've watched them from time to time. NOt bad, really good graphics in the space fights...and Peter & Freeman...man Freeman's got a nice ass and a killer smile.

Sadly I think he already has. He's been in Hidden Frontier, The Lair and now in Phase II. Playing a gay character -(Not 100% sure about The Lair, so it's an assumption).

 

On IMDB, he's just finished a film called Watercolors which is a gay drama, so you can speculate with certainty about what sexuality his character will be.

 

It's a shame that he hasn't made his big break yet as he's a great actor, but hopefully something will come along and we'll see him more often.
