Dilemma, I need opinions!

So lately my imagination has been getting the best of me and has been brewing different stories in my head and I want to write them but I dont know which one to start with or if anybody would be interested in reading it if it was posted online.

 

Well anyway here are the story summaries that I have and was wondering if anypne could tell me like which would you read or find interesting. Thanks a bunch!!!!!!

 

1. "Rain On Me"

~17 y/o Blake meets Austin a 24 y/o and falls madly in love with him. Weeks after dating, Blake is finally convinced to move in with Austin. Things get rocky as the two try to deal with living with each other. the relationship takes a turn for the worst when the arguements turn to Austin lashing out and abusing Blake. Blake is now stuck in a situation where he has everything to lose and barely anything to gain. After months of abuse Blake finally breaks down to his best friend and desperately wants to start fresh. Can he break out of Austin's grasp and find true love again?

 

2.When Opposites Attract *Interracial story*

~All his life Darius knew he was straight. But after being forced to transfer to a new school his whole perspective changes when he meets Ryan. Not knowing what to make of or how to act on his feelings Darius and Ryan become fast friends. Darius soon becomes face to face with a dilemma, his old life of 'the streets' is quickly calling him back and his love for Ryan is growing. Can he juggle both?

 

3. Untitled

~For being 14, Brandon was on top of the world. He had the boy of his dreams, love of his peers and has just been dubbed Junior Boxing Champion in his region. Things get shakey when Brandon and Zack get caught making out by Brandon's father. Things take a turn for the worst when Brandon's father abducts Brandon and shoots Zack. And sells Brandon to a Readjustment Colony for $25.00!! At the Colony, Brandon is tortured, beaten and raped. After 2 years, the colony is raided and he is found chained up in a dungeon by a detective and clings too him for help. The detective later adopts Brandon and takes him home to his family. Will Brandon ever find love again?

 

4. The Secret Life Of A Male Escort

~Meet Jackson, NY's best Male Escort. At age 24 you would think he was living the life and has it made. But, no Jackson also has another job. He is now a student teacher at one of the local high school's. He's been living a double life for a long time. He barely has time for himself or friends anymore. Relationships all seem to fail when they discover his secret occupation. Now he discovers one of his students is selling himself out on the streets. His life gets better when he meets Patrick and his attraction to him grows immensly but he is reluctant to approach him because of his occupation and how many times he's been rejected. Can Jackson find away out of this double life or will he remain stuck in the confines of this deception?

4 looks to be the most interesting. That is definitely something I look forward to reading. Here's a piece of advice though. Try to stay focused on one or two stories at a given time. Othewise you will spread yourself too thin. I've done that a time or two.

Bear in mind that with this question you are basically asking about individual tastes in stories of the people who respond, and their response will depend on how they interpret the summaries you give and match them up with their tastes. This shouldn't be about what people want to read but what you want to write. (Unless, of course, you are writing for financial reasons!)

 

Do all of the four outlines get you equally excited? Isn't there one (maybe two) that stimulate your creative juices more than the others?

 

My feeling is that the quality of the end product will depend very much on how much you want to write the story, whether you have something you feel you really want to communicate, and how much enjoyment you get from working with the plot and characters in your head.

 

Anyway, for what it's worth, 2 seemed most interesting to me.

Tim and Kit have both offered some excellent advice.

 

I would say let the story choose. Whenever you feel compelled to work on one of them, go for it! After awhile you'll probably notice that one or two are further along than the others. At that point do try to focus primarily on those.

 

Just my advice. I would also recommend that you do what feels right for you. Odds are high that Tim, Kit, and I all approach writing in at least a slightly, if not very, different way. The same can probably be said about every other author here with regards to everyone else. The real trick is knowing what works best for you.

 

I also happen to agree with Tim and Kit's voting selections as well, and also picked 2 and 4. Of those I'm slightly more interested in 4.

I'd give them all a try. For me its usually a matter of if the emotion of the story catches hold of me.

I suppose "rain of me" and "interracial story" should be the ones which are the easiest for you to write.

If I understand well your question, you will write all four, either one after the other or all together.

You should write for yourself, not for some readers .

Personaly, I like "horror" stories. Its why I voted for 3 .

Well too be perfectly honest i asked because i'm new to this whole writing thing. And I am going to try and bust out these stories but I wanted to see which one other authors or readers would like. But I have started on some of these and others I have no idea where to start.

 

The easiest one for me to write are actually "Secret Life of A Male Escort" and "When Opposties Attract" the others I have no clue where i want to start exactly.

Yeah I'd go with number 4 as well. Sounds like it could be an interesting story.
