Is My Marriage Gay?

Not only is that a good question, but she also raises the very excellent point about people who are born with rare genetic conditions as related to gender. In some states, does this mean that Jamie Lee Curtis would only legally be allowed to marry a woman? Okay, that's probably not nice to perpetuate the rumour and all... But really, do intersex people have to hop around looking for a state where they can get married, depending on the different laws? Bizarre, to say the least.

I was surprised when Kentucky was mentioned, I thought we'd follow right along with Ohio. Not recognizing any legal gender changes, what you're born is what you stay.. kind of deal. So it was nice to know that we, confirm and accept it. It is also interesting that States have and can force that sort of thing in their laws, I mean really, if people can legally change their gender, wouldn't that have to be universally accepted? I would think so, but its not...

I just came across this in the New York Times:

Is My Marriage Gay?

An interesting read, and quite thought provoking. :D

this has nothing to do with your topic. I just want the moderators to know that Im beyond pleased with the effort that you and everybody has and is taking to keep our children safe. by providing them a safe haven to come to and plenty of teen sites that they can discuss there problems. I especially like that fact that you have included the suicide help line links and tips for signs for friends and family to look out for. Myself being the father of two gay boys want to thank you for all your support.

An excellent piece! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am friends with multiple couples in which at least one of the two people is transgendered. It seems like very often trans issues are ignored or swept under the rug, so I'm delighted by this article. :great:
