Enric Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 ch18: poor boys. a custody battle is a bitch... how old actually are Darius and Jeremy at that time, 1995?
Conner Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Bitty's not too bright given her behaviour. Obviously she hasn't been getting very good advice. She's being the petulant child instead of the conniving bitch she needs to be. She doesn't even realize that the court will listen to what the social worker has to say. The video tapes are a great idea. I'm wondering if JP's brother, JJ's biological father, will play a role in all of this. I don't think he knows that he knocked Bitty up. Does Cody get to screw everyone??? "Well, Marcel, if you want to make things up to me, you can hand me your ass." Mind you, I thought that bringing up Bruno was a low blow on Cody's part. JP and Stef are doing great! Super chapter, Mark!
Tiger Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I keep thinking that Bitty may somehow disappear. She's messing with the wrong people. She should know not to mess with anyone close to JP. She may end up in the ocean somewhere.

She may end up in the ocean somewhere. Not that I would mind, but it's a bitty early for that. She's still Brad's half-sister, but, you're right, JP will not allow Brad's family to fall apart. Anyway, don't the lawyers get to make millions first?
methodwriter85 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 ch18: poor boys. a custody battle is a bitch... how old actually are Darius and Jeremy at that time, 1995? Jeremy's age is very firm and definite- he was born on Saturday, December 7, 1985. So at the time of the story, JJ's 9 years old and will turn 10 at the end of 1995. He should be in the class of 2004, if things go right- but...you never know. Darius's age is more of a question mark- we've talked about it before, but we've never settled on a firm birthdate for Darius. I think we've estimated that Darius's birthday is anywhere between November 1981, to March 1982. So he's about 13 years old, but we're not sure if he's going to turn 14 in 1995, or if he'll turn 14 in 1996. Either way, I think Darius won't start high school until fall 1996, making him class of 2000. Mark, you wanna hold a contest where the lucky winner can pick Darius's birthdate? LOL. Will's age is also firm and definite- his birthday is September 14, 1986, so he's eight-soon-to-be-nine, and will graduate with the class of 2005. And probably be the damned valedictorian. LOL. The fact that Darius and Jeremy are 13 and 9 years old, respectively, makes this case interesting- it might've been different if Bitty had tried to get the kids back in say, 1988, when they were still pretty little, but Darius is an adolescent while puberty is just around the corner for JJ.

I do not think that contract killing is within lawyers' means of creating remedies for such situations.
paya Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Am I the only one that noticed Alejandro's visit with father as suspicious? Nobody has mentionned that so far. He once offered his help if could do anything - and the only thing he can do is discuss this with daddy... So I'm really looking forward to something spicy!

Thanks Jeremy! I was hoping you'd answer that question for me. For those of you who don't know, Jeremy is on my "team." He gives us all those wonderful musical recommendations, but just as importantly, he's the one who keeps all the dates and birthdays straight for me. (Jeremy, doing something straight? ) Plus, last night when he was drunk he promised me that he'd sleep with me.
Tiger Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Plus, last night when he was drunk he promised me that he'd sleep with me. I doubt your wife would like that idea.
Mark M Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) ah brad i love Brad...to bad there's robbie in the picture....to bad these characters are fictional i'd rape alot of them haha!!! The Boat manuver was awesome very awesome!! As a Critique though, there is not much description of the surroundings the characters are in. It's like "they go down stairs to play playstation" why not "They head down the starcase of the ship to there bunks in the lower compartments to play playstation" or when you describe Escorial in other storyes...i know theres a pool....and a main hall....a kitchen....JP's Study....but all we know is that they came into the room....frankly i betcha there all empty too!! haha. Like i duno i sometimes like the Description of the place it sets the mood. Stefs Living room......."They sit on the Couch" Assuming that stef is so rich and stuff it should be like.....longer..... Bitty and the Social worker enter Stefan's Living room though the ordinate doors into a brightly lit, furnished with black leather couches and a handcrafted from france coffetable with remarkable design, showing stefs wealth. As they continue to look in amazment as more of the living room comes into sight with a marble encased firplace.... etc etc For some reason i feel as if Escorial is yellow also....is that true? haha Edited July 24, 2009 by Mark M

I forget that this is supposed to be a stand-alone story and assume everyone is up to speed on what things look like.
Mark Arbour Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 19 is up, and some of your questions have been answered. Paya, you're a mindreader.
Conner Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Good one, Paya! I was asleep at the switch on that one. Some great humour in that chapter, Mark! Yes, Darius might well become a lawyer. That was brilliant!
Conner Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 So one of the yuks (as in yuk-yuk funny) in the story is a reference to "coming together". It reminded me (for some strange reason ) of one of Robin Williams' stand-up routines (the one he did for HBO several years ago. He does a take off on the pairs skating event and suggests that there should be "sex olympics". Really hilarious stuff, let me tell you! So, right, where am I? Oh yeah. For the sex olympics there would also be the "simultaneous orgasms" event. This event would have 6 categories - sprint and marathon with 2, 3 and 4 participants. Yes, there would also be different "classes" - straight, gay, lesbian and then maybe permutations of that. Before I get warned, I'm going to leave off there.
Tiger Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 It was indeed a great chapter. Bitty is finally dead. That makes me happy. I figured it would be JP behind, but it looks more like it was Alejandro. He really does have a dark side. He scares me.
Enric Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Thanks Jeremy! ,,,,, Plus, last night when he was drunk he promised me that he'd sleep with me. Do I find in this some undertones of..... what... So, the actual sleeping, does this indicate that he needs to be fairly drunk also at that stage. I had a consolation to my friends when they complained that they never find good-liking guys... I consoled them by the fact that they do not have eyes in back of their heads.. There'd be no end to speculations who is goin to bottom for whom though, couples can always consider those two-pronged, rubber-made..... Jeremy must be a student of mechanical engineering. Right

I'm pretty liberal about that kind of stuff.
paya Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Warned by whom? It's my forum. I'm pretty liberal about that kind of stuff. But there surely is some warn status when you use F word - it could be inherent with the system of the discussion fora. If I read the Rules properly I wouldn't get one.

paya Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 You can say f**k. It just stars it out so no one knows what you said. Well then I don't get it what I did that I have that Warn status line under my name.
Mark Arbour Posted July 26, 2009 Author Posted July 26, 2009 Well then I don't get it what I did that I have that Warn status line under my name. Well here's how that works. If you are bad, like say you violate the rules of the board in a big way, you get a warning. Then your bar will show, say, 25%. If it gets to 100%, then they have a big party and ban you I got a warning earlier this year. OK, I've had lots of warnings throughout my time here at GA, but that's mostly my fault for being obnoxious. But I posted some pics of Rob Lowe's butt, and that's not allowed (falls under the porn heading, although I thought it was a work of art, personally). So I was reminded of the rules and warned, my bar went up to 25%. Then I behaved myself for a while and they absolved me and it went back to zero. It's like an internet time out, and I think it's actually pretty effective. It tells you that they're (the admins) serious about an issue, it's not just a bullshit argument. Anyone else on here get a warning besides me?
Mark Arbour Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 That is one of your best lines ever. I couldn't help but laugh. I'm so glad that Casey's mom isn't like Robbie's. Her change of heart certainly makes her a better woman. Anyway, I'm already ready for more. I'm glad you liked that one. I already did the religious freak mother, and I thought it was time to introduce a character who went through the process in a more "normal" way, and to give PFLAG a plug for all the good work they do. It's easy in a soap opera type story to fall into a repetitive format, and while I'm not always successful, I'm trying to avoid it. Trying.
Enric Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 ch20: have I understood correctly, that Alejandro actually is not a slut ? that he keeps f**king with only one boy,and that boy is actually age-wise quite suitable to him, not making it any sort of obvious disparity case...
