Site Administrator Graeme Posted June 10, 2009 Site Administrator Posted June 10, 2009 A Solitary Kiss by johnathan_colourfield A story of the solitary girl, her brother and his partner, and how the partner seized the day but with drastic consequences. :nuke: :nuke: Spoilers Below!!! :nuke: :nuke:
AFriendlyFace Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 A Solitary Kiss by johnathan_colourfield ***SPOILERS!!!*** I really enjoyed this intense snippet of the lives of these three people. From this brief, well-spun tale it's easy to see just how intense Lucian is, how conflicted, but ultimately loyal, Matthew is, and how deeply tragic 'The Solitary Girl' is. The coastal setting and imagery really adds another layer to the piece and makes the whole thing relentlessly sad in the same way that the waves relentlessly crash against the shore. All in all Johnathan has written us a beautiful story about three people who are by no means perfect, yet still have genuine affection and loyalty to each other. Great job! -Kevin
Linxe Termoil Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I found this story to be interesting and extremely well written. Alas, it has left me with alot of questions in the end, and I'm not sure where to begin. I'm definitely going to re-read it when I have another chance and I recommend that this short story be read as well. Regards, Linxe
Prince Duchess Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I must say this story did very much intrigue me. I love the imagery that this story gives i felt like i was watching this instead of reading it. And how the characters are very unperfect but still be in harmony with each other, brilliance.
Dolores Esteban Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I like the style of this story. There's something surreal about it. The solitary girl: Is she real or is she just a dream? A fascinating and enigmatic image that is worth being developed. I'd like to read the whole tale
jfalkon Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I did not consider the possibility that she was not real but its an interesting idea. Maybe she is the dreaded side of everyone's personality, the curios side that makes us wonder what it would be like to kiss...whoever we have not kissed.
C James Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Interesting concept and presentation. Very eloquent. Thanks! CJ
