Cliffhanger again! AHHHHHHH, Dom what you do to my insides. I like the beginning. It makes perfect sense for their friendship and Caleb is feeling more frustrated about not knowing, than Nels being gay. I was dying with every slide of the mouse with no Milo. However, I love Caleb all the more after the ending. Dom, will you please end the torture! I need to see Milo and Nels together again.

P.S. To all the nonbelievers .... NELSON AND MILO TOGETHER, FOREVER!!! Sorry Brandon, maybe you can be in another story.

Well, Nelson is finding out who his real friends are and there are some surprises in that. Some are more help than others and some are trying too hard. One thing's for sure: Nelson is the best friend Milo has.

I agree, I just hope that Milo goes up and talks to nelson sooner or later, and just tell jame off.

Okay so I was wrong, Jame totally started the rumor and wanted to ruin Nelsons rep. I still think we have to be worried about Milo though, he still hasn't come out yet, but I'm sure Nelson will wait for him. As for the Brandon thing, he's a little slutty. Lmao Totally surprised at how straight forward he was, I wonder if he'll explain himself to Nelson. Then again Nelson was pretty straight forward with Milo too. XD anyways, still hope Brandon ends up with someone and maybe everyone's right? Jame has it hard for Milo.

I'm happy with this chapter, my stress level is a lot calmer. I love Caleb, what a great best friend to have. But I'm with Nelson and that one dude, I don't care if the guy can beat me up. You push my face into a locker, we are so going to fight. I was fuming with Nelson there.

Now to touch on a few subjects so far...

First Thank you Dom for continuing one of my favorite stories...you are really my favorite author..now...

I think that Nelson's fears with his friends are proven wrong. Caleb may not understand, as he said..."this is Nelson...". Joe is actually handling this better than I thought actually would. Now as far as who started this, I think that it is safe to say that it wasn't any of Nelson's friends, it wasn't Milo (but why Milo has not tried to get in touch with Nelson I don't know, apparently he is not being held prisoner, he is able to go and pick up Jamie at school), and although I do believe it was Jamie, I have not seen any evidence that it was him, and NO, Jamie enjoying the downfall of one of his most hated enemies doesn't count as proof...

Brandon Sholer is not a whore...he is another Nelson. Very forward, when he knows that he has a chance, not like before when he was trying to lure Nelson to his room with the promise of more booze and drugs, to get in his pants. Even after the way that things have turned out, I don't think that it is over with Brandon trying to get into Nelson's pants. I think this also proves that Brandon did not know Milo from before...but now it is time for me to go...

Once again, great chapter Dom, and a nice cliffhanger...maybe not like the cliffhanger in Chapter 15...(it was your best one yet btw), but still a good one...

I was so happy when I got to the end of the chapter and found out that Milo had no clue of what had happened to Nelson. I'm sure Caleb will think of a way for Nelson to get in contact with Milo. I'm just worried about what happens when Milo finds out about the rumor. He might not know what's going but he was afraid to be seen with him before and now who knows.

So, Brandon threw himself out there and got rejected. I'd say that's pretty good confirmation that Nelson isn't going to cheat. UNLESS, the outing Caleb mentioned for the coming weekend ends up being somewhere where Nelson and Brandon are both drunk. Now that Nelson knows Brandon is interested, a situation like the last party could go very differently. But I still see Milo as the ultimate boyfriend the story will end with.

I don't think it's fair to judge Brandon as a slut. His position is the school is a very precarious one and I would suggest that his behaviour was just how he's learned to deal with being a gay football captain in a homophobic environment. Quick, discreet encounters, no lingering relationships that could come back to hurt him. Let's face it, he obviously likes Nelson and considers him a low risk situation. Even if Nelson proves him wrong he would be confident of Nelson's discretion or at least of his own ability to discredit Nelson in any public confrontation. It's not the most 'noble' behaviour but he's not living in an ideal world and I think this is just how he copes with the hand he's been given.

Very true, Brandon's just forward. All Brandon knows at this point is that Nelson is gay and that he tried getting into Milo's pants by getting him drunk (a similar technique that Brandon himself uses). For all he knows, Nelson would be up for messing around (the tent in Nel's pants weren't lying).

At least Brandon got a kiss. guitar.gif

I'll have to read the story a few more times before I make more commentary.

Poor Brandon really got the brush off. He seems like a good guy. Unfortunately for him, Nelson wants someone else. I am starting to see a clearer picture here. It seems what Jame is doing is probably two fold. First, he's ruined Nelson's reputation. Second, he's probably told Milo that Nelson doesn't want him anymore, so things are just awkward. Jame is extremely manipulative and opportunistic. I could be wrong about what he's done to Milo, but it's pretty obvious what he's doing to Nelson. If ever Dom needed to kill a character off, Jame is a good target. :music:

This chapter didn't make sense to me. How could Milo not know his number was disconnected and all the associated angst and with his wish for all to be kept secret for the moment turn up at school and go to talk to Nelson?

Something isn't adding up here! Makes me suspect Brandon is somehow more involved in the furore than Dom is letting him reveal. Maybe Jame is just taking advantage of the situation to get back at Nelson.

I'm wondering if Dom has watched a little too much Bold and the Beautiful.

I want to know why, considering it's been a week or two by now since they were caught in Milo's bedroom, Milo has made no attempt to contact Nelson. Nada, zip, zilch. And if they have mutual friends that go to both Nelson's school and Milo's school, why does it appear that Milo hasn't heard the rumor that's all over town that Nelson is gay and, now, out? What's Milo been doing? Living in a bubble?

I agree with Bodgy...something just doesn't add up.

I think probably his asshole of a father just grounded him guys. I am sure he knows the phone was disconnected. If you think about it, there isn't anyone Milo was close to at the school besides Nels, so it makes sense to me that no one tried overly hard to get in touch with him. If it is true that Jame started the rumors about Nels, he certainly wouldn't clue Milo in. That would add to the reason Jame tried to stop him from going to Nels, other than knowing it would get him in a heap of trouble with his father. Despite everything, Jame seems to still not want Milo to get hurt and crossing to talk to Nels would have hurt him at this point, as Jame is still obviously not ready to come out. I cannot wait to see what Nels and Calen cook up to get Nels and Milo some time together!

We could be in for a big surprise. When Nelson goes on this weekend outing, he may find Milo there. It's conceivable that Caleb and Jame worked out the details together.

Anyone agree?

Caleb yes, but Jame? No way. Jame is fully aware of what's going on in school towards Nelson. If he really 'cared' about the Milo/Nelson relationship, he'd let Milo know.

I don't believe Milo is fully aware of the extent of what Nelson is going through. If he did, he'd make some attempt at contact.

Another thought...if Milo were grounded, how was he able to go pick up Jame?

I do believe at some point Jame will see that Nelson makes Milo happy and will also assist in getting them back together. Jame may never become friends with Nelson, but he does seem to be a real friend to Milo and will want Milo happy.

That's what I want to know too. How could he not find a way to contact Nelson after all this time? I mean we live in the digital age, where are their cell phones?! We'll just have to wait for the answers I guess.

Mr Trust has ordered Milo to stay away from Nelson and low trust Milo is intimidated enough to obey, at least for the time being. He mentioned earlier that he was planning to wait it out until he turns eighteen.

To Mr Trust Jame must appear reliable, so he might have exempted appointments with Jame from the general grounding.

I agree that it seems strange that Milo has not made an effort to contact Nelson. Since we do live in a digital age, can't Milo use a friend's phone if his has been confiscated by dear old dad?

Perhaps WT was dated pre-cellphones & pre-internet?? I can't recall whether there's been mention of either. Maybe Dom wrote WT to be timeless.

EDIT: I found a reference to cell phone use in Chapter 1. blush1.gif

Let's go conspiracy theory time. We know Milo is a bit dense, but even he wouldn't jsut waltz up to Nelson after a week of no contact like nothing happened. So what if he doesn't know he's had no contact? Specifically, what if he's been trying to send notes to Nelson through, say, Jame? Who would, of course, throw said notes away as soon as he was out of sight. It's even possible that Milo thinks it's Nelson shutting him out, and the little turnaway in the schoolyard confirming it.

I don't know if any of this is plausable, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
