I think I have 1-169. But the problem is that I want to know the rest of the story. What happens to Squeegee and James?

Goddamit. This just so totally sucks. Can't he send the story to someone else to post under a different name so that no one will know it's him, someone who won't care about what anyone says about them. I mean, hell some of my stories are so much worse than that.

 

Driver had/has the same problem and he was able to reach a solution. Maybe Tristan will find a similar solution and continue the story. Then again he might have lost the desire to do so, afraid that the attacks would continue no matter what he did. In which case, as Neph says, "This just totally sucks."

I now have the web version of 1-88 and I have the text to speech edit 1-169 and I have almost all converted to speech.

 

Now if I can convince Tristan to continue . . .

But you have to make 5 posts before you have access to the messaging system. Just go to the forums and search for TIC or Roll Call and make a couple posts like "Great Story thanks" Then I can PM you Under your avitar in your profile it shows how many posts you have and not all forums count. Like humor and a couple others in the lounge I think.

Also, the Wayback machine archived the story in April 2009 when it was at 88 chapters. Not perfect, but it means you can read a bit further until someone tracks down a new site for the story.

I agree, The story is very light compared to 99% of the stories I've come across. In fact, there's been only one sex scene in the 80 odd chapters that I managed to read before it was taken down, and that one sex scene was light in itself.

it is possible, sort of, and with wordpress too, I don't know why he didn't just use it. It wouldn't be so much invite-only but password required, so people would have to ask for it, or be given it by someone who had it. I do it with some of my stories that do not "fit" GA's criteria.

 

All he would have had to do was put up a splash that the story was unavailable. It would have been true.

He has amassed a mailing list and will alert when able to post somewhere. For now he is busy editing the 169 chapters.

He hopes to continue writing the rest of the story soon.

Hey Cel. Hey Mike. It was an epic tale in progress. 169 chapters and the story was only beginning. I have faith that we will see it return and continue. It is a story that HAS to be told. And only Tristan can tell it properly. He has support world-wide. I know he can feel our love and admiration.

I just got an e-mail from G from the RB discussion and comment pages. He remembered me from two years ago and found me here at GA and recognized me from my poems.I hope to get in contact with more of the old gang from our "family" back then. He has a few e-mail contacts from the old blog.

 

Also, I checked the Wayback link just to see if it was still functioning. I was able to access 159 chapters !!!

Hi Tim The story focused on a midwest farm boy who left home at 14 and lived on the streets of LA. The story or plot has been told before but Tristan, the author was a genius at weaving the details into pictures and images that seemed to take one right into the action.

I checked yesterday and there are now 159 chapters still available. Only 169 were ever posted so most of it is there now. Of course this is not the whole story. We are waiting for T to bring it back. We have discussed many ways to post it without undue attention. It is up to Tristan now to finish editing the first 169 chapters and then get down to writing again.

 

At least some of the story is true as it relates to certain events (1969 was the timeframe). This might be why it aroused so much hatred and threats toward the author. I don't know. The story itself is mild as far as the sex goes. It describes certain porn locations and operations that were or became somewhat famous. Maybe toes were stepped on. I don't know. Only guessing.
