Xbox One pricing paves way for Sony PS4 success

A game developer who was waiting to try Microsoft’s Xbox One, but did not want to be identified by name, said he currently owns an Xbox 360, but that, “Microsoft has completely lost me.” He said that being forced to buy a Kinect sensor and pay a $100 premium is what turned him off. He said he plans to buy a PlayStation 4 when it becomes available later this year.

“I like the PS4 more and the whole $100 less helps out a little,” said Jonathan Toyoda another gamer attending E3 who owns the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. He said that he’d put the $100 towards buying another game.

The price point is going to let Sony crush Microsoft, but someone I follow on YouTube went to E3 and talked to an 18-year employee at Microsoft who eluded to the fact that the Xbox bundles might help tip the scales.

Consider if the Xbox One ships with 3 free mediocre games - that instantly makes it the cheaper console. They don't even have to be good games, but just that they're shipped with it will pull people back to the Xbox. And we've seen them do this with the xbox 360 launch.

Not to mention there is a reputable rumor from Wired.com that every multiplayer game will have access to dedicated servers on the Xbox One because of their 300,000 cloud servers. If true, that is a MAJOR plus factor for the Xbox One.

Ps3 unless I'm playing a PC only game like WoW. In that case PC is fine with me, but that's about all I'll play on it. I like controlers too much and xbox controllers aren't comfortable to me.

It's all about the PC. Mostly because of the back catalogue (and some of the awesome quirks, like playing vice city or total annihilation at 1080p xD)

I do miss my megadrive though.

I honestly can't pick, I simply get every gaming related so I can have "unlimited" options.

Only one "winning" this senseless console war are the companies themselves.

I've changed my vote from Xbox 360 to Other.

Why other you may ask/wonder/not care... well it's because I built myself a PC gaming monster rig (Intel i7 3.5ghz processor, 32 gigs DDR3-12800, Dual GeForce GTX 970 Dual SLI setup, Nvidia 3D Vision ready 24" monitor with Nvidia 3D glasses, etc) that also doubles as an emulator for various consoles like SNES, N64, etc.

Basically I can run any computer game at top form and yet still play Super Mario Brothers on SNES without having to leave my chair lol!
