Help finding author/story

I just found this story on nifty.org and started reading it but it's unfinished and supposed to have another book about it. I did a google search and found out that at one point it was hosted on iomfats.org but I can not find it or the author anywhere. Anyone know what happened or where the story is?

Was this a story that's been pulled because the author had it published, I wonder? It seems like this one's come up before...

There is a published author with the same name MJ, but I'd be amazed if it's the same person   (no disrespect to the highly talented authors at Nifty with their deep and meaningful plot lines)

 

I read the original when it was posted way back when (I think it started in 2003), though I only ever saw three or four chapters of book 2 (I think posted 2006 since I was visiting family in New Zealand at the start of 2006)

 

I didn't know that it had been reposted and tidied up.

I've just searched for the first chapter of the story and it's only available at Nifty. If it's somewhere else, it's not being index by Google.
